The Miz Participation Award Ceremony (March 29, 2019)

Originally Written: March 29, 2019

Remember the Miz Participation Award!? Yeah so do I, those was some good times, even though the first person to ever receive one was one of my favorite wrestlers Dean Ambrose and if you’re wondering why he gave it to Dean, well………it was because Dean came up short getting the Intercontinental Championship from the Miz at TLC (2016)

It was still a good time though, yes it was, but Dean wasn’t the only one to receive a participation award, no he was not, there were a few others: Apollo Crews was another nominee, a WWE referee was apparently another receiver of the award for some reason………

Heck even Miz himself got his very own Miz participation award, ironically from the same person, Miz gave the award to, Dean Ambrose.

Now that was a funny moment, seeing Miz’s face when he was given his own award that he created back to him………ahhhh priceless!!!

“The Ambrose Asylum” welcomes special guests The Miz and Maryse: SmackDown Live, Jan. 10, 2017

As a nice dedication to the Miz, I wanted to talk a few superstars who I feel could use a Miz participation award, but before we get to that, let me just briefly explain what this is, for those who may be lost at what i’m talking about………

Summary: The Miz Participation Award is an award where…….okay let’s just say it how it is here, these awards are for those who were brave enough to step up to a challenge and go for it, buuut didn’t quite get it in the end…….that’s pretty much all that it is…….

So without further ado, I welcome you to the first ever Annual Miz Participation Award Ceremony, dedicated to the must see WWE Superstar on TV The Miz……..here are my top 3 superstars who I feel need a bit of a pick me up with the way their being or have been used in the WWE so far……….

The 1st Participation Award Goes To *Drumroll*

The Modern Day Maharaja…………Jinder Mahal

Sooo Jinder Mahal……..remember when he was this big thing!?…….Yeah well those times are over……..it’s crazy to think that 2 years ago Jinder Mahal had just become the WWE Champion at Backlash defeating Randy Orton for it and was actually holding that title pretty well for a good while, even causing a huge uproar for it, because no one wanted to see him as WWE Champion…….

I didn’t even want him as champion, that’s how much of a reaction he caused when he won the title……….no one liked Jinder Mahal, well i’m sure some did, but the majority of people did not………everyone could not wait for the WWE Championship title to be off him……….

Then he had a match against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship on Smackdown Live and well………

Everyone sang in harmony and jumped for joy, when AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal becoming the new WWE Champion and where not only Jinder’s reign ended, but also when he started slowly going down the card as a top superstar and off the main event scenes, to now being someone not many people care too much about………

Now that being said Jinder did have a nice match against Ricochet last week, it was the first time we’ve seen him in a long time, but he did hold his own against Ricochet, who we all know is pretty quick on his feet and who is coming up really quickly on the main roaster.

However in his last minute tag match with Lashley going against Finn in a 2 on 1 handicap match this past Monday………well………it could’ve been better, not the match, because I actually enjoyed it, i’m talking Jinder’s in ring performance. He barely got a move in on Finn, all he got was an attempt roll up, only to be kicked in the face by Finn.

He had a better match last week then he did this past Monday and he was in a tag match!! Lashley could’ve just fought Finn himself with the performance Jinder put on, the Singh Brothers did more than he did, they should’ve been in that match if that was the case!!

Now you might think i’m upset about this, but i’m not, i’m just trying to understand why he didn’t put the same effort he did going against Ricochet, in this match, don’t get it!? Not a huge fan of Lashley, but I can kinda get why he attacked Jinder after the match was over, it’s just crazy to see him go from WWE Champion to now jobber…………

I’m not the biggest fan of Jinder either, but I do feel bad that this is where he’s currently at, at the moment in the WWE, but hey for his troubles and going out there and teaming with Lashley in this match.

I present Jinder Mahal with this here Miz Participation Award, because………he tried, well more last week then this past week, but hey at least he………participated in the match, that’s what counts………

Okay I thought about it and looking back on the match, Jinder did well making Finn look good so i’ll give him that, but he’s still getting this award.

This Miz Participation Award goes out to Jinder Mahal, for his performance in last weeks match against Ricochet and his participation in this weeks match teaming with Bobby Lashley as a replacement for Lio Rush who was not “medically cleared” to fight.

The 2nd Participation Award Goes to………..Dana Brooke

So we all know Dana, she was with Charlotte for a good while, then she got a really nice push when she was paired up with Titus O Neal and Apollo Crews forming Titus WORLDWIDE!! However I never really knew what exactly Titus Worldwide was about, I can’t remember why they were formed in the first place……

They were just there one minute and then wasn’t the next, but they were used and got a good amount of attention, it took a bit, but eventually people sorta got behind them……….

After they went their own ways, we didn’t really see that much of Dana Brooke for a good while, well in all fairness I did go off wrestling for a while so she might’ve been used then………but when I did see her back on the show, it was when she teamed with Natalya to get a chance at the then new Women’s tag team championship at Elimination Chamber, didn’t quite go well because they lost to Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan in the qualifying match……….

Fast Forward after Elimination Chamber and we are now in a Raw segment with Ronda Rousey the night after Fastlane and after Ronda finishes with her segment, we get not only a surprise appearance, but also an impressive promo done by Dana Brooke, challenging Ronda Rousey to a match for a chance at the Raw Women’s Championship.

Ronda then attacks her and the next week of Raw we get Dana Brooke Vs Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s title…………now I had some hope for Dana during this match…….

I thought that she’d be able to hold her own against Ronda and that this match would be a good one, buuut that match did not turn out well for Dana, because Ronda is rogue at the moment and well in that match Ronda broke Dana’s arm with her armbar submission…….

At least it looked like she did during their match, if security and the ref’s didn’t come out to help Dana, Ronda would not have let go of Dana’s arm………as much as I kinda feel bad doing this……..I present Dana Brooke with the Miz participation award, for that impressive promo that she did after the Fastlane PPV and also for putting herself out there with a rogue Ronda Rousey, she sure did try……….

I do hope she’s recovered or is recovering alright with that arm of hers, hopefully Ronda didn’t break it, but either way get well soon Dana………..

This Participation Award Goes To Dana Brooke For An Impressive Promo and For Going Up Against A Rogue Ronda Rousey…….

It’s all come down to this people, the moment we’ve been waiting for, the 3rd and final participation award of the evening……. Now I gotta admit this was a tough one………..okay not really, I was just going for a dramatic effect here, but no more stalling, it’s time for the results………the first person to ever be presented this award, aaaaand this being the second time he’s received one of these……….

The 3rd……..and final Miz Participation Award goes to * long drumroll……………………*DEAN AMBROSE………(sorry Dean)

Here me out here okay, I didn’t want to add him on here, but if i’m gonna be fair and add Jinder and Dana, I have to add one of my favorites, even though it hurts, I gotta add Dean here………..

Now there’s so much I could say about Dean, like seriously, but let’s just skip over to the Raw after Fastlane when the Shield disbanded and when Dean goes to get revenge on Drew McIntyre, who attacked Roman Reigns earlier in the night, when he was mean’t to have his first match back after recovering from Leukemia against Baron Corbin.

However that didn’t happen and Dean was livid at McIntyre so he ended up demanding a match against Drew to Triple H telling him to make it a falls count anywhere match and that’s exactly what Triple H did, now I was happy because we were getting an angry Dean Ambrose again and when Dean’s angry, sometimes you gotta watch out. I really wanted this match to be a really good one…….

Dean hasn’t been having the best of matches in a good while and I was hoping to see a change in this match, the match wasn’t all that bad, it was pretty alright, buuuut Dean’s attempt at settling the score with McIntyre to get payback for what he did to Roman……didn’t quite go well as Drew put him through a stair railing by the announcers table and hit his finisher to Dean………

Having McIntyre be victorious instead………..now even though McIntyre was victorious, doesn’t mean that Dean didn’t fight back, he always fights back, that’s one of my favorite things about him, but I really thought he should’ve won that match…………

So even though it hurts me to do it………I present this Miz Participation Award to Dean Ambrose for………just everything, he’s been doing this for so many years and to see the way his WWE career has been lately even after he returned……..

It’s just a little disappointing to see, not that it’s his fault, because it’s not, but at this point he pretty much is just participating and not really being taken seriously like he use to be, he just deserves better and I think even he is starting to realize that…….

This Participation Awards Goes To Dean Ambrose Who Attempted To Beat Drew McIntyre And Get Revenge On Him, But It Didn’t Quite Go Well……

And those are all the awards I have for today, originally I was going to do 5 superstars, but I just decided to do 3 instead, also I just want to point out that this was all in good fun, I had this idea to write who I thought should get a Miz participation award after I watched Jinder team up with Lashley and lose the match……….

I then remembered Dana & Dean’s match that happened after Fastlane and wanted to add them in it too, but this was just for fun, I actually do think these 3 superstars deserve more than what they’re giving, even Jinder Mahal and I don’t really like him, but no one deserves more than Dean at the moment, he really deserves better, as for Dana…….she too should be given more of chance.

I’ll write about them in another post soon, but with all that, thank you all for joining me during this Miz Participation Award Ceremony, I really do appreciate it!!

Let me know in the comments below on who you think should get a Miz Participation Award for their troubles and with that, I will see you guys next time with another one……..hopefully, have a lovely people………uhhh day, have a lovely day or evening whatever time it is where you guys are!!!

All The Love ❤ ❤
