Let’s Talk: Clocker

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are well and safe, boy was yesterday quite the day, I don’t know how many people experienced last nights hurricane, we had a lot of flooding happening, water even came into our house, it wasn’t too bad, we caught it before it got worst, but it was a good amount of water, but more like puddles of water so nothing got damaged luckily, in other places though that’s a different story, but it was okay! For those who also experienced the really unexpected bad storm, I hope you all are doing well and that it wasn’t too bad for you guys!

Now let’s talk about what this post is about…..you’re probably looking at the title going “huh!?” Clocker for those unsure, is a video game that I downloaded not that long ago, I’ve only played it once, it’s pretty much a puzzle game with a pretty neat story, you can also consider it an adventure game as well! Clocker from what I gathered playing it is about a father trying to get back to his daughter, I’ll try not to spoil the game too much in case some of you find it interesting and want to play it for yourselves, but pretty much you are given this old looking Clock by some random old guy and as you advance in the game, you find that time has stopped and you’re there trying to figure out how to restart it so that you can get back to your daughter!

There’s more to it obviously, but you have to play it to understand the concept of it! Like I said it’s a really neat game, it’s different to what I would normally play, but it’s really nice, in the game the clock that you get from the old guy, you soon discover that it let’s you control certain events so whatever is frozen you can help advance it and rewind to get through each section so you can collect the things that are needed, did I mention that the father character in the game fixes clocks for a living!? So being that you disable and reassemble clocks and watches and that, you have to get all the missing pieces that came off from the stopwatch, yeah! Like I said it’s pretty cool, I didn’t get that far into the game, I’m kind of stuck on a level, I would get so close to solving it, but will still end up missing something so I got to go back and figure it out!

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the game has much as I did, when I first played it it wasn’t hard to understand, you start off taking apart a watch and going through the story mode of the game with certain dialogs, which was kind of fun, I liked taking apart things, I haven’t played it in a couple of weeks though, but I will eventually get back into it soon, it was really fascinating! I have a feeling I know what the message of the game is, but before I share it, I want to play it more to see if it is what I think it is, which it might end up being cause it seems to be going in that direction, but I want to enjoy the game and discover what other things it has going for it, just play it, understand it better, once I finish the game I will do a part two on it and update you on it’s story and let you know if I got the message to it correct! Hopefully I didn’t spoil anything on the game for you guys if I did….I’m sorry, but if I didn’t then cool!

I would recommend anyone who wants to try out a new game to give this one a try, the graphics and gameplay may be a little different to what you might like in a game, depending what kind of games you like and all, but I still would say to give it a try, it might surprise you and who knows it might be your new favorite game, but if it’s something that you think you personally wouldn’t go for then that’s okay too, I didn’t think I was going to go for it before I actually played it, but I also still had it in my wish list to try, because it was something that looked interesting, but everyone’s different!

If this game is something that catches your attention then go get it, it’s actually not that bad in price! I got it during a sale, but I think it’s about 6 dollars-10 the max…..correction it’s actually 4 dollars ($3.99 USD 3.59 GPB) I went and checked, but yeah you can find this game on the Nintendo eshop, if this game is something you’d consider then I definitely recommend it! Part 2 of this post will be up eventually and that post will be my full thoughts on the game once I’ve finished it of course!

Let’s Talk: Spiritfarer

Good Afternoon, hope you all had a very good weekend and that you all were keeping safe as well with this Tropical Storm turned hurricane, turned back into a Tropical Storm again which I just looked into a few minutes ago by the way!, We were meant to get a lot of wind with the storm named Henri, but it ended up weakening and just giving us a lot of rain instead this past weekend and were informed a good amount of times of very bad flooding, so if anyone received a lot of flooding during the weekend with Henri, hopefully it wasn’t too bad and if it was I hope that you’re all okay!

I’m hoping you all are having a good Monday though, although we’re getting a lot of on and off rain over here, Monday has been going pretty alright, not too bad! I thought for today’s post we can talk about a video game that I have a few big soft spot for, I don’t always play it and I haven’t played it in a good while, but I still enjoy it and still consider it to be one of my favorite games to play when I do pick it up! Now the video game I’m talking about if you haven’t already picked it up by the title, which I’m sure you have is Spiritfarer…….I remember when I first saw the trailer of this game and I thought it was a pretty cool concept, if you aren’t familiar with what kind of game this is, I’ll try and explain it real quick in the best way I can!

So Spiritfarer is a very unique and beautiful kind of game, It’s one of the games that is a little deep and can really pull at your heartstrings as well….you play as this character called Stella and without trying to spoil it too much, at least I’m going to try not to anyway, but you play as Stella where she becomes the new Spiritfarer and her job is to recruit any Spirits she happens to come across that still has some kind of unfinished business of some sort and invite them to her boat to befriend, help with any request that they are asking for and eventually get them to cross over through the Everdoor (a.k.a. the after life) It’s weird because I didn’t think I’d have a hard time explaining this game, it makes sense when you actually play it and it really is a great game!

I played it to one try it out because I liked the gameplay look of it, but also because in the time I went to play it, I was dealing with a loss and I don’t know this game seemed like the kind of thing to help me understand things better in that aspect and taught me that even though it’s a hard thing to do, we can’t really stop the process of life from happening, but that no matter what, we’re always going to have those love ones there with us even if they aren’t around physically to be there, which I find to be beautiful, now even if you aren’t the most spiritual of person, it’s still a great game to try, you don’t have to believe in that kind of thing to play this game, it can just be a game with a story like all the other games!

For me though, I found that it came around when I needed it most and I’m glad that it caught my eye and that I ended up enjoying it, it really helped me in a lot of ways just like the last game I spoke about called Gris, both those games were like a healing process for me….it took a good while before I started to feel better and the fact that I had these games to help me explore my emotions and deal with them the only way I felt I knew how was great!

Plus the little spirits are adorable, okay one spoil alert, they go from hooded cloaked figures to Spirit animals that help teach you many different things and sometimes you grow a connection with them, even though you know you probably shouldn’t because after they finish their last mission, you’ll have to say farewell to them and that might get you emotional especially when it happens to be one of your favorites, but at least you’d get to hug them before they go (I love doing that) that aside though, the game is beautiful and just an overall well designed game!

I’d definitely recommend at least giving it a try and seeing how you like it for yourself, it’s proper worth it and you can learn a lot from the game and if that’s not your thing, then at least you’ll get to explore and experience something totally different with it, but if it’s not your kind of game overall….that’s completely alright and perfectly fine, not every video game is going to be enjoyed, I just wanted to share on it, it’s one of my favorites and in case someone is looking for a new game to try Spiritfarer is something I’d put out there to get discovered, definitely worth it, you can’t go wrong with it!!

P.S.

The soundtrack to this game is wonderful, Just thought I’d add that in!

Happy National Relaxation Day….

So apparently it’s National Relaxation Day…..I didn’t know that until I went onto Twitter to see Nintendo themselves posting about it with an Animal Crossing post earlier…..you’d think that it’d be easy to relax especially during the weekend, I mean that’s normally when people relax, chill and enjoy themselves, but sometimes relaxation feels like a whole task to master…..there’s moments where I can get into a relaxed state and then quickly I find myself becoming a little uneasy, it sounds a little weird, but I don’t really know how to relax if I’m being honest!

This has got to be one of my most un relaxed weekends that I have had in a very long time…it’s probably my most sleepless weekend too, I’ve just been full of a lot of thoughts lately and I’ve been trying to put them all to the side and not think so much, but it’s not really been easy, I’m not trying to complain by the way….that’s just how I’ve been feeling

All that said, my weekend hasn’t been a bad weekend, it’s just not been my favorite in terms of not being able to relax or sleep properly, other than that it’s okay…..I wish that I had more to say in this post, but I honestly cannot think at all so I’m just going to keep this one short…..I think I’m going to take a couple of days off from writing for a bit, I don’t know, I may not at the same time, although I feel I maybe should just to until I feel better, in terms of energy,

I feel I’ve been going on low energy for a bit now so depending how I feel will determine if I write often, It might not be for as long as I think so if I don’t write tomorrow, I may write Tues and if not Tuesday then Wednesday there is something I have in mind that I want to record for a podcast this week so whatever day that is, I’ll also do a post, I’ll try not to stay away too long, but if I feel that I’m not in the best headspace then I’ll have to allow myself to take the time that is needed before I come back here even though I’ll probably fight with myself on it, we’ll see what happens!

I hope you guys have a good rest of the night and that you’re enjoying your relaxation and that you’re all okay, see you soon!

Here’s my latest podcast episode if you guys want to check it out: *quick update…..I missed spelled the name of the artist, I fixed it, but some of it is still there…sorry lol*

Let’s Talk: Gris

Good evening, hope you’re all doing well and are keeping cool and safe in this very very hot weather, at least it’s super hot where I am, hopefully it’s a little cooler where you are! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as well, my weekend was pretty alright, wasn’t too bad, It’s just been really hot that’s all, at least we’re getting rain soon so that’s good, we kind of need it! You know we’ve headed into summer when it starts getting REALLY hot!

Enough about the weather though, let’s talk about something different, let’s talk about video games and feeling, don’t worry it’ll be a good one…..I’m hoping anyway….nah you might’ve already guessed what game we’re going to be discussing, that game being Gris, I never know how it’s meant to be pronounced so I pronounce it as I see it and to me it’s like Bliss, but Gris, weird I know…..I really love this game, I haven’t played it in a very long time though, I think the last time I played it was…..about a few months ago, but the gameplay of it is so interesting, I remember when I first saw the trailer to it, it was actually from one of the video game blogs I follow on here, if I’m not mistaken it was the blog Video Games Blogger that I saw the trailer on, I thought it was the coolest looking game I ever saw and I made sure to put it one my games to get list…..I think I ended up getting it not last Christmas, but the Christmas before that!

Now even though I got the game, I didn’t actually play it until a couple months after I got it, sometimes when I buy a game, I don’t always play it right away, most times I’ll wait a while to play it, it all depends on the game really and how I’m feeling, the day I actually played the game, it was on a not so great time, I played it on the day I lost my dog, I remember I tried playing Animal Crossing, but I just weren’t feeling it that day and so I switched games (no pun intended) and played that game, I don’t know why I chose that one on that day, I guess it just felt like the right time even though I weren’t really aware of it then…..but I played it and what’s crazy about that game is, It’s all about emotions and going on a journey with those emotions, when I found out about my dog, I was having a hard time processing everything and so that game helped me to focus my attention on something else for a while

The only thing with it is that, I played it to get out of my head for a while, but I didn’t actually expect to connect with it so much, there’s a lot of depth with this game, it’s story is literally all about getting through rough times, there’s a lot of serious issues covered in it and although I knew that when I got the game, I didn’t think it was going to be so relatable in that moment, I remember playing it for a few hours that day before I started to thinking about everything again, but in the moment that I played the game, it really helped me to feel better and it helped me to kind of get through things…..it took a while before I learned to accept what had happened, but I really appreciate what this game gave me in the moment that I needed it, it took me on a journey that I didn’t expect to go on, but I enjoyed it!

Now I’m not saying I finished the game, I still have a bit to go…..I think I’m close to the end of the game, but I’m not done with it, I don’t play it all the time, only when I feel I need to and a lot of the time, when I choose to play it, it’s because I feel I need to, when I start to get a little down or I’m thinking a little too much or I’m just not in the best of moods, I play that game, I do it every time I feel low, but like I said just when I feel I need to! One of my favorite parts about the game is when I get to boss fights and as much as they give me heart attacks (not really) but I do get a bit of anxiety playing it, but that’s only because the boss fights are pretty intense, however whenever I help the character in the game overcome the fears and difficult moments that she’s faced with…..a part of me also feels like I’ve overcome something as well….that might be weird to say, but I don’t know it’s just how I feel!

Also it’s just very pleasing to the eye, it’s such a beautiful game, the art style is super fantastic, it also has some adorable moments to it, it’s a really great game, probably one of my favorites, although I don’t play it quite often, whenever I do pick it up, I always remember why I enjoy it! Now some of the boards can be very hard to get through, but you figure them out, you grow to enjoy it and embrace it for what it is, at least that’s how I see it, it’s probably different for everyone else, but I enjoy it, Gris is a really good game and I would recommend those looking for a game to try or would like to have a game to connect with to give it a go or if you just want to play it because it sounds interesting, It’s an adventure/platform type game so if that’s what you’re into, check it out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Muskrat Dreaming….

I have to say this title is probably one of my favorites, I only say that because it’s both made me laugh and smile, although I’ve had a few titles that’s done that soooo maybe their also favorites!? Hope you’re all having a good one today and Good morning from where I’m at, maybe it’s morning where some of you are as well, whatever time of day I hope it’s going well! You’re probably wondering why exactly I’ve titled this Muskrat dreaming, well that’s because I had a dream about well….Technically I had a dream about a Pokemon whose evolve form is based around a Muskrat at least it’s one of his evolve forms, the Pokemon that I’m talking about is Raticate…..

Now I’m not necessarily sure why I had this weird dream where Raticate was in this dream of mine, I mean it could of been a whole different animal for all I know, however when I woke up from the dream, Pokemon was the first thing to pop into my head and Rattata was the first thing I searched…..then I learned that It wasn’t Rattata, but it’s 2nd evolve form Raticate and that’s why we’re having this conversation, also it was what looked like Raticate in real time so yeahh,

Now interestingly this Pokemon known to be apart of the mouse/rodent family has three different inspired animals to it, the first is well if you didn’t guess it a Muskrat, the 2nd is apparently a Guinea Pig and the third is what’s called a Coypu!? I’ve went ahead and looked both the Muskrat and Coypu up because I know what a Guinea Pig looks like and it wasn’t the animal that appeared in my dream so I went ahead and left it out of the research…..the Coypu was definitely not the animal to appear in the dream, I think I would remember it’s teeth….plus the animal had more of a golden/light brown type fur and the Coypu has a more dark brownish fur and that’s not what I saw in the dream

The closest and similar animal to Raticate was a Muskrat and each time I look it up, it becomes more of a winner only difference is it was the Pokemon Raticate in real time and not an actual Muskrat….but if we’re really looking at it, Raticate does get it’s inspiration, well one of it’s main inspiration from the Muskrat so it fits the bill pretty darn well, also looking at the pictures it’s so cute!!

Once I learned which animal was the most similar to Raticate that was in my dream, I went a looked up the meaning of When a Muskrat appears in a dream and was surprised, it was a good thing, well depending on what happened in the dream will determine what exactly it means, sometimes it may not always be a good thing, but in my dream Raticate didn’t get hurt and so I choose to see it as a good sign for something, I don’t remember much of the dream except that I guess at some point Raticate was behind something that came down maybe a tree, it was something large anyway and then came from behind it after it went down and then sat by a bush looking at me kinda….like I said it was a very weird dream, I don’t understand it much, but it was good to see a Pokemon within my dream, odd, but good!

Has anyone ever had video game type dreams before or at least had a little bit of inspiration of video games added within their dream, what were they like!?

Podcasting Schedule….

How’s Everyone’s Thursday Been Going!? Hope you all have been enjoying yourselves, alright so I wanted to write a quick post on the schedule of my podcast episodes, now I’ve been trying my hand on recording podcast episodes for about a month now and at first it was just to give a try and see how I liked it and everything, but since then, I have actually been enjoying myself when recording episodes, I actually really like it! Now I will admit that at first I didn’t really have an actual schedule, I was just posting whenever I recorded a new episode, but I like to think that I have found a good footing on the days that I upload to Anchor and Spotify, I always record my episodes towards the evening on Fridays and sometimes I’ll also upload on that day depending on the length of the episode, if it’s not too long then I’ll have it up then, but if I need to look at it a bit, then you normally see it on a Monday or other days!

Now so far my episode uploads are, Fridays (Recording always, uploads every so often) Mondays and Wednesdays, I’m also going to be adding Saturdays, but just like Fridays it’ll be on certain days only on Saturdays! Now to give you an insight on what my content of the episodes I share at times on my podcast, it’s just a hangout session kind of podcast, I like to share upon topics of music, certain video games and just give my best thoughts to those kind of topics, I also try and share on some thoughts of my own in terms of little reminders and personal things that I might write here on this blog and want to share sometimes on my podcast, just in case I have other things to add that maybe a little too long of post to write! It’s pretty much interest based the content of my Podcast,

I share on loads of different topics mean something to me in the moment! I just want everyone that comes by to have a listen to chill out and hopefully enjoy themselves, because I enjoy myself, so hopefully with a set schedule so far, anyone reading this or listening because this is probably going to be in the next episode that I do, you’ll know when to look out for it, I also post new episodes and even blog posts on my Twitter so if ever you’re unsure to when I upload or just want to catch up or say hi even, you can find me there, my Twitter is literally the name of my blog Life As A Daydreamer I’d like to think I’m pretty friendly, I don’t mind getting to know people and say hi, I can be a bit shy, but I can also be the one to start conversation too depending how I feel haha!

Those are my upload days so far with my podcast episodes, if by any chance I need to change it or I got other things to add on anything, You’ll see it in a new blog post update of course, this promoting thing is very new to me and I can get a bit nervous with it, but I’ve been doing my best with it and everything else I do, which is all I can really do, but yeah if you would like to come by and hang out with me, those have been the days I’ve found myself uploading the most and that’s why I thought I’d just write a post on it! I have a few episodes up now if you would like to have a listen, some are a bit lengthy I’ll be honest, but I do have shorter episodes too, so get cozy, grab a snack, friend, pet, favorite drink and come by and hang out if you like!!

Daydreamer’s Podcast is the name of my Podcast and like I said a bit earlier you can find it on either Anchor which is where it’s hosted or you can have a listen on Spotify, maybe you prefer it as background noise instead of a sit and listen which is completely fine, however you choose to enjoy it! I hope you all are having a great evening or day in general and I hope to see you around ^_^

My Thoughts On Stardew Valley So Far….

Good Morning Everyone! (It’s the morning in the time of me writing this) hope you you’re all having a nice Tuesday, for today’s post I wanted to talk about a game that I’ve been playing for a bit of a while now, by the title you can probably take a really big guess on what that game is, if you said Stardew Valley, you’re right, okay so just want to make it clear that, I’ve not played this game that long so it’s not going to be a full on review, the only time I’d give my honest thoughts fully with games is when it’s a favorite of mine and I know I’ve been enjoying it to the point where I speak upon it a lot, for example Animal Crossing, I’ve played that game since Gamecube, even though I didn’t start really getting into it, until New Leaf…..but this post isn’t about Animal Crossing, It’s about Stardew Valley!

Now I will give you guys a bit of a heads up, whenever it comes to new games that I’m not really familiar with, I don’t really know how to talk about them, so I’m just going to give my best honest thoughts on this game and hope that I don’t offend anyone who really enjoy this game, with not having much knowledge on these type of games, at the same time this is my post and if you don’t like what I write about it…..feel free to find a post that you do enjoy, however I don’t really plan on saying anything bad about it, because I’ve still yet to really get to know the game, I was just stating that part on more of a not knowing much about it….. onto the thoughts though!!

Alright so since starting the game, which I actually started playing a day after the anniversary of both my blog and my Animal Crossing journey on a new Island on my main Island (April 11th) started the game (April 12th) Yeah I know crazy, you know what else is crazy!? Today marks 1 week since I’ve touched the game, like I haven’t played in a week, probably not that crazy I know, but still it’s kinda weird how it all intertwined, don’t mind me I tend to make something small into something big, that’s just me!

That note aside, even though I had the game on my console for a bit of a while, I didn’t start playing it until recently, I think I had it downloaded on my console for like a month or something, I can’t really remember, but starting the game, I found it to be interesting when I first started it up, it’s got a old fashion pixel style going on and normally I don’t really play those type of games, it was the same when I played A Short Hike it was something completely new to me that I had never tried, but I grew to enjoy it! By watching a lot of different gamers, I heard a lot about Stardew Valley and it always interest me, when I would hear about it, but I never gave it too much attention, the first time I purchased a Stardew Valley game was when I bought the game for a friend of mine, me being the curious little pup that I am,

I wanted to see what it was about and so when I played it for the first time, I’m not going to lie…..I played it for a couple hours and then after that first time, I just would look forward to playing it, it’s a very cute and relaxing game and it’s pretty similar to Animal Crossing which is my all time favorite game, I love that game with all my heart! Again not an Animal Crossing post….got to remember that!! Stardew Valley that’s our focus…..playing the game, I actually grew to enjoy it, that being said…..there are some pretty big differences to Stardew Valley compared to Animal Crossing that I had to get used to…..for starters the inventory….I’ve been trying to upgrade my inventory to have more spots to put things in since I started….. and I still yet to get it!

Selling things is a lot different also, even with the things I put up to be sold, I also feel I never get the amount I need so I’m able to get that new shiny beautiful backpack in that store I can’t remember the name of, it just seems to be like a whole mission and a half just to get it, like I don’t understand…..also I’m NOT good a farming and that’s LITERALLY the whole concept of the game!! You get passed down your grandfathers farm to maintain and take VERY good care of and I can’t even do that right, it’s like why’d you give me the farm grandpa!? I just always feel bad, because while I’m supposed to be having the farm looking like it’s 30 and THRIVING, I’m just doing an awful job at it,

I’m just ignoring the farm while my dog in game just barks all the time, I give it love and water don’t worry!! Before you even say anything, you can’t feed the dog in Stardew Valley I looked it up, I didn’t want to be a bad owner, it has a whole dog bowl behind the farm and the only thing you can give it is water…..WATER!! You want to know the best part though!? It doesn’t even drink the water, the water just disappears the next day, like what!? I don’t get it, I almost felt bad and then realized I didn’t need to feel bad about it after all!

You know I just realized that I have a lot more thoughts on this game then I anticipated, I was sitting here talking about a certain dance event in Stardew Valley that takes place in Spring to myself and then I thought, I’m going to turn this into a podcast episode and I did, just finished actually! That episode highlights what’s already on here and adds to that as well so when I look it over and post it, I will add it to this post and you can take a listen if you want, I wanted them to have different personalities which they will in a way, I think you’ll see a difference to this post and that episode! I know that if I wrote it all here this would be too long so, I hope that you enjoy both contents, but so far those are my thoughts on Stardew Valley, it’s a pretty good game that I’m still getting used to and trying to understand, but so far I like it!!

P.S.

I just looked at some of the Stardew Valley farms as I was looking for some Stardew Valley pictures and my Animal Crossing Island is better then my Stardew Valley farm…..I have got to figure this game out lol!!

Happy Birthday Planet Earth!!

I’m not really sure how old you are, but all that matters is that you’re doing well and are still going strong, for everyone else Happy Earth Day!! I hope for those reading this right now that you’re doing well yourselves and are having a nice Thursday! Now for the topic….is there a topic!? Nope, not a specific one anyway, so this post is going to be pretty much whatever comes to mind, call it a surprise post if you will, might make it more interesting if you do if I’m being honest lol!!

Let’s turn it into a game, what kind of stuff can we add to this post to make it feel interesting!? Hmmm….well here’s what we know, we’re in the process of the Spring season, which is also allergy season and let me tell you, I’ve got a bit of allergies happening, but it’s going away, I’ve gotten pass the sneezing stage, where I was having a sneezing attack every few minutes these past couple of days, it’s clearing up little by little though! I know it probably hasn’t gotten interesting yet, but I’m sure I’ll get there….since it’s Earth Day, let’s talk about some Earth Day things in way, like did you know that Venus is Earth’s twin!?

Okay you probably knew that one, but did you know that when Earth had formed, it was all because an unknown planet or space rock had crashed into both Earth and Venus, but Earth had protection and it’s own armor which was it’s magnetic field, to keep it from having the massive impact that Venus took, it’s probably confusing I know, but you see at one point in space and time, you couldn’t really tell Venus and Earth apart, they literally looked the same! It took a collision to happen from another planet to have Earth be the Earth that we know and that a good amount of us out there love! With Venus on the other hand, well…..it’s full of fire, it’s literally called the hellish planet, now the debate is what’s hotter, the Sun or Venus!? Might be a stupid question, but that’s okay, because I’m the type to ask those types of stupid question and I’m alright with that!!

Seriously though I’d like to have a side by side on Venus’s heat level and the Sun’s heat level, yes the Sun might definitely win, but I like to think Venus can give it some serious competition alright, that’s just some stuff to know!

On a whole different random side note, when I played Animal Crossing: New Horizon earlier today, I expected to play the Nature Event in honor of Earth Day, in case some of you don’t know in Animal Crossing: New Horizons they have special events for certain holidays and they have a small little event for Earth Day, but anyway when I played the game earlier I was kinda looking forward to playing the event, but when I arrived at the town hall plaza, there was no Leif, no other Special Characters either…..well besides Flick the bug enthusiast, but yeah no it was just empty which was a little confusing to me, I then searched up when the Nature Day event was and I learned that Nature Day started on the 15th of this month and ended the 22nd which happens to be today! I thought that today would be the last day to do the event, whatever the event was this year, but apparently not, I personally think they should’ve kept it for the day of Earth Day as well because it would’ve worked well for one, but it is what it is!

I found out anyway that they removed some stuff from the event, which was cool (not that it was removed, just that I liked the things that they had with the event, just to be clear) wasn’t like a big thing, it was just a special bonus involving the nook miles, don’t know why they did that to be fair, but *shrugs shoulders and puts hands up* maybe I didn’t missed much after all who knows! Well that’s all of the thoughts that I have for this post, I just thought I’d share a couple things that came to mind, I know it was a bit random and I tried to keep it in the theme of today, so hopefully this was a somewhat interesting post to those reading this right now, I hope you all have a goodnight and Happy Earth Day or just Thursday!!

Welcome To The Daydreamer’s Podcast

Happy Saturday, hope you all are having a good day!! Now I know that I haven’t properly talked about this so I thought I’d have this post be the introduction for it…..a late introduction, but an introduction nonetheless!! Now in case a lot of you don’t already know I went ahead and created a podcast, some of you may already know if you’ve read some of my latest posts, but if you didn’t…..I have a podcast now, it’s called Daydreamer’s Podcast and I created it out of curiosity, I was actually writing a post and had just finished posting that post when I saw an opportunity to be able to turn a post into a podcast episode and so that’s exactly what I did, so I kind of have WordPress to thank for giving me the idea of creating one, I only have 2 episodes right now, but so far I’ve been enjoying myself,

I have found that I actually get pretty excited to record the next episode, which is something that comes rarely for me, but this is something I kind of been wanting to do for a bit of a while now, I tend to talk quite a bit and sometimes a lot of the things I want to share can be too long to write in a post and so I thought this was the perfect thing to give a try, It’s something I’ve always thought of doing and it’s something that has literally presented itself to me and why not give it a shot!!

Now the content to my new Podcast is going to be a bit of everything in the sense to the way I do it here on my blog, it’s pretty much interest based, so for example music, video games and sometimes serious topics that I feel I want to share upon and discuss a bit about…..sometimes I’ll even incorporate some blog post topic for the days where I feel I want to express a bit more, the two episodes that are up now were based off two blog posts, but it’s stuff like that! I just want to create a place that everyone can just hang out and hopefully have a good time!! I already recorded a third episode which should be up pretty soon, but if you guys are curious and would like to check out the last two episodes of my podcast, that would really mean a lot to me, you can have a listen to both episodes here:

The Latest Episode:

Ice Breaker (A Blog Post)- Ep. 1

Let’s Talk: 1 Year Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons- Ep. 2

For those who do manage to check it out the podcast, first I just want to say I appreciate it in advance and I hope you all enjoy the episodes that you decide to give a listen to, with that said, Welcome to The Daydreamer’s Podcast, I’ll be your host, Alexa, but you can just call me Lex or Lexa, I prefer it anyway! I hope you’re all able to enjoy the content and atmosphere that I do my best to bring to this podcast, hope I can get some of you to hang around and stay a while!! ^_^

Animal Crossing New Horizons: A Year Already!?

I can’t believe it! New Horizons has came to a year of being released…..I remember watching the trailer for this game and how excited I was knowing we were getting another Animal Crossing game, the last game in the series was New Leaf and when Nintendo announced we would be getting a whole new experience with it I couldn’t wait to play it!! Originally it was thought to come out back in 2019, but it ended up being delayed and pushed back to 2020 of March on the 20th, when learning that my first thought was…..it would’ve been cool if it was in February, because then it would’ve came out February 20th, 2020 (2/20/20) that would’ve been something….March wasn’t a bad month for it to come out either, don’t worry I’m not complaining or anything, I just thought it would’ve been cool that’s all!

Knowing that we were getting a New Animal Crossing game was the important thing, I’ve been a fan of this game for a very long time, played it on the Gamecube, Wii, 3DS and now I’m enjoying it on the Switch and I couldn’t be any happier, I love the game, it’s one of my all time favorites, it’s my top played game actually haha!! I also got two Islands, so you know it’s a favorite of mine.

(I haven’t quite been on my second Island in a hot minute….I’ve got my reasons okay nothing against the game or my villagers there…I just think it was time to focus on my main Island, plus I both wanted and needed to give it a bit of love sooo)

Back to the post…although the game came out on March 20th of last year, I didn’t start playing the game until April so while most people played it on release day….I started on my Island a month after, but everyone plays at different stages so it’s allll right! To know that it’s already been a full year of this game, is insane, there’s a lot that I have enjoyed with it and playing it for a longer period of time after a while, there’s also a couple of things that I’d say could be improved on now that I’ve played it long enough, however I won’t get to it here, this post is more talking on the good stuff, the celebration of it being a year of gameplay for everyone, as much as I would love to say it all here….I’m gonna wait on it, because I’ve got a better and fun idea for it, some of you might already know and if not you’ll soon see!!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons so far, has been very good, it came to us in a time that we really needed it, with the whole Pandemic being a big issue that we had to take precaution on, everyone was put on lockdown and we weren’t able to come out of our houses for a long while unless we really needed something of course and with not being able to be around friends/certain family members or being able to go to certain places, most of us became bored out of our minds, not only that, but it just became really tough to get through after a while, not being able to leave our houses, in fear of not knowing what would happen or even knowing the risks…..

So for New Horizons to release in the time it did and become our little escape from what was/still is our reality and be that light to help us get through all of this, it couldn’t have dropped at a better time!! Even people who never played, let alone probably never heard of the game, even they grabbed a copy and gave it a try and some of them even became fans out of it, it brought together old and new communities and helped people to de stress and relax for a couple of hours without the worry!! They got to experience something new from it, heck people who were already a fan, like myself got to experience something different with the whole Island introduction of it, making the island how you want (with some limits) but also getting to see the different things that were added that we never had before until this game, so there’s just a lot to thank this version of Animal Crossing for, because in the era that we were forced to be in, this game this game became our Savior in making sure we didn’t lose our heads and allowed us to focus on something a lot nicer and positive for a while!!

Yeah it’s got it’s moments where you get a little frustrated with it, mainly when terraforming and other things, but it’s still a pretty great game overall and I’m glad we have it, so Happy 1 year Anniversary New Horizons, thank you for being our enjoyment and the escape that we needed during this crazy era that 2020 brought, may you continue to bring us great things with this game, now that you’ve got updates!!

P.S.

Yes I know the anniversary was yesterday, but I didn’t get a chance to write on it and that’s why I’m doing it today, it’s only a day late, it’s the weekend of it, better late than never right!?

Update:

Episode 2 of my podcast is now up….it took me a bit to get it up, due to having to re record and look it over, it’s pretty much a part 2 to this post, but this time I give my thoughts on some of my favorite features that’s been added to the game, discuss what I feel needs a little improvement and also give a Wishlist to what I would like to see added in future updates, if you would like to check it out, you can take a listen here: Let’s Talk: 1 Year of Animal Crossing New Horizons
