My Trip To PR (Puerto Rico)

Happy Friday everyone, hope you all are having a good day and enjoying yourself!! Not going to lie…..It really doesn’t feel like Friday today, I actually woke up unsure if it was Friday or not and then I learned it was Friday, which is weird, I think the trip I just came back from sorta messed up my days a bit…..regardless I hope you’re all well and keeping safe! Now you may have noticed I hadn’t written in while, with the exception of yesterday’s post stating that I’m back and better than ever lol (if you get it, you get it)

Anyway so we don’t delay on what this post is about, you can probably take a huge wild guess, seeing that I’ve just come back from an unexpected vacation, I thought I’d share my experience on that with you guys, now even though I say unexpected, I did know about it, I just weren’t expecting myself to go to it, it was actually a last minute decision when I decided and it was preety hectic as well, I was calm about it though, everything else was kinda chaotic, not too much though, to jump into it…..I finally went on a trip to Puerto Rico, it was the first time I had ever been there, which you would think I’d gone a lot seeing that my mom is from there, buuut no I’ve never been to Puerto Rico until recently, like literally went on the day of my 3 year blog anniversary!

I was there for a week, left Sunday (July 11th) and came back early in the morning on Monday (July 19th) the flight was actually pretty cool….I was a bit nervous going on a plane, although it wasn’t my first time, but it’s been a while, but while on the plane I actually found myself loving being on it, it took about 3 and half hours to get there from where I’m from, but it wasn’t all that bad, to be fair I did have my headphones in throughout the trip heading to PR that and I was enjoying looking out at the sky through the window soooo that’s the flight part of the journey (I did have a picture of it, but it wasn’t off of my phone so sorry about that)

Now let’s get into the days of the adventure shall we!?

Day 1 (Uno) -Settling In Morovis (July 11th)

My first day in PR was…..very hot, like the heat was intense, it was sooo humid over there, however Puerto Rico’s heat is a lot different then the heat in New Jersey, where I’m from, also you’ll find if ever any of you decide to take a trip over there, just know that the weather is very weird, one minute it’s hot and another minute rain shows up, like literally it’ll rain then stop and the suns and repeat after that, I thought my mom was kidding, but she wasn’t when she told me about it every time she would go, now I can say I’ve experienced it myself!!

When I got to Puerto Rico though, I wasn’t actually sure what to expect, obviously it’s an Island so I expected that, as for everything else I didn’t know what I was going to be exploring until I got there, it was nice, just very hot, we didn’t really do too much the first day, we did a little bit of running around, grabbed some food, which by the way I ordered in Spanish…..we’ll half Spanish, but I still tried so I was proud of myself for attempting to order in Spanish, I know a bit, but not that much, I do understand it, I just don’t know how to really speak it, yeah I know….

There’s a couple of things that I learned while there on the first day and one of those things is there are some very windy roads, like you’re always turning corners and you’ll find out how small the roads are, highways are different, regular roads, let’s just say there should not be a two entrance on some of them, that’s how tight the roads are seriously, on a different note….you’ll also learn there are a LOT of animal, cows, chickens, lizards, Horses, just a lot of animals and in the morning if your not an early person just know the roosters will wake you up, especially if you’re a light sleeper who likes sleep…..I didn’t mind it, I wake up pretty early anyway, not super early, but early enough!

Another thing you’ll notice is there’s a lot of natural fresh grown fruits and vegetables, although I probably seen more fruits then veggies, the supermarkets are a bit different, but also not different, but there are places you wouldn’t normally see on a regular basis unless you lived in PR, now that I think about it Day 1 was pretty eventful even though we didn’t do too much!

Day 2 (Dos) – Cero Gordo Beach (July 12th)

We’ve entered day dos in PR, up early had coffee, took a few photos on this day, I wrote in my journal/notebook, I made sure I took one with me so I could have an idea for when I came back to share on the blog, but when I took some photos I was just getting the hang of the manual setting of the camera I have and so I was excited so I mentioned it…..fast forwarding toward what the day for Day 2 was like, we went to a beach, now I’m not the biggest fan of beaches, it’s like my least favorite place to go, beaches are beautiful don’t get me wrong…..I just don’t like to go to them, I sit in the sand and watch and listen to the waves, everyone knows how calming they are, but going in the water…..is a meh for me, that being said, I did go into this beach water, it was pretty clear and you could kinda see everything, lots of seaweed in the water, which I didn’t like….although it made me laugh because it tickled my feet,

but I still didn’t like the feeling, also the water at this beach was EXTREMELY SALTY, I know beaches are meant to be like that, but I’m telling you if you went to this one and went under the water and came back up, your sinus would be CLEARED so if you’re having a bit of Sinus issue this water will clear it *snap* like that lol I only went into this beach water once and then I just sat in the sand, wrote in my journal and took pictures of the scenery around me which was nice there was a lot of Pelicans and a lot of them we’re flying in the air and then just dove in the water and it always looked like they were hurting themselves, but they were just looking for food so no worries! I also experienced an albino crab in the sand, I took a video of it, it did not like being bothered, I don’t have the video on the computer, but I do have a picture so you’ll see it in a moment!

After we finished on the beach we got a few icy’s I had a coconut one and snickers, I didn’t quite like the coconut one, okay I did, but I didn’t and that’s because I don’t like actual coconut flakes, I like the flavor of coconut, but not the flakes, the actual coconut itself and so forth and my icy had a lot of the flakes and I could not enjoy it, the snickers one however was great….I had it a little bit after we were meant to leave, but hey it was still good!!

Day 3: Tres -Goza Landia (July 13th)

Day 3 of PR the morning started on the delayed side in terms of breakfast, it took forever just to get a couple of sandwiches, but just leave it there on that! Day 3’s journey was a bit of a long one, it took a while to get to where we were going, but when we did get there…..it was good time, we went to this Waterfall place, but it wasn’t your typical kind of waterfall, this waterfall you could actually swim in which was very nice, also it felt like a hike to me, because we kind of did sorta hike, there were different sections of the Waterfall place we were at that you could go into,

If you wanted to be at the very top you had to walk a distance, if you wanted to be at the bottom you only had to go a little while, we ended up in the middle section, it was the one we chose, but also one I preferred, plus there was a lot of people at the top of the waterfall and we were kind of looking for less people so the middle worked just fine, it was pretty deep too the water, it didn’t look it, but when you go into it, you see it, it wasn’t too deep, I can’t handle water that’s too deep….it frightens me also I’m not that great of a swimmer anyway sooo yeah lol…..

The best part about this Waterfall place was you could swim in it while enjoying the view as well, if I had to say what my favorite place was, this would be it, because it’s so different, you wouldn’t think you could swim in a waterfall like that, you also had places to sit if you wanted to get out of the water a bit, didn’t have to worry about no sand, although you did have to watch your step because it’s quite slippery! There were moments where I felt like I was rock climbing and I don’t know I just felt like I was in my element in that place, the waterfall place is what I mean, it was just a cool experience and the best thing I ever got to do, if anyone reading this ever goes to Puerto Rico go to that place, I think you’ll enjoy it!!

Also I saw some turtles, I saw a crane, Crawfish and Shrimp, it was a good time, I really enjoyed myself there!! P.S. I also tried a passionfruit for the first time, it wasn’t bad!!

Day 4: (Cuatro) – Colorful Shopping Center (July 14th)

Day 4’s journey…..we didn’t really do all that much for day 4, not a lot was happening entertainment wise, sooo we ended up exploring the shopping centers around wherever the heck it was, I don’t remember the name of the area we were in, now I call it the colorful shopping center because it was colorful, I didn’t actually take pictures of it because I didn’t feel like I needed to really bring my camera so sorry for that…..after we did some shopping and looking around, we went for something to eat, I tried this place called Mango where they have a lot of fresh food, I saw it last time and wanted to try it so when we went again I made sure to give it a look….surprisingly it was pretty good, their stuff is healthy, I had a veggie power bowl, I’ve been changing my way of eating, I don’t want to say I’m Vegetarian exactly because I still eat Chicken, I just don’t eat pork or beef anymore, but I eat more fish then chicken sooo….

I’m just eating better for myself let’s just say that….the Veggie power bowl was good, I was curious to try it, I thought it was going to be a hot meal with rice and steamed Vegetables ….but it was cold…..I then came to the conclusion that it was a salad…..but let me tell you it was an amazing salad, like I enjoy a good salad here and there, my favorite salad is the Parmesan Cesar salad from Wendy’s, but this one like I don’t know what it was, but it was lovely, it had Spinach, tomatoes, black beans, cheese and I think some other stuff, I can’t remember and the dressing was great, I think it was an Italian/Vinaigrette type dressing, regardless it was lovely and I loved it, very nice, I also had a Banana Strawberry smoothie with it, that was nice too, I did take one photo though,

I took a picture of a rainbow, it was raining when we got back and getting dark at the same time, but luckily I was able to catch the rainbow before it disappeared fully, it’s a little dimmed, it was kind of faint by the time I caught it, but hopefully you can still see it okay!

Day 5 (Cinco) – San Juan Beach (July 15th)

Day 5….we went to another beach…..again not a big fan of beaches….however I liked this beach more than the first one, the first one was nice don’t get me wrong, but I don’t know I liked this one more, also the water was pretty clearer here, it was clear in the other one too, just want to let you know that, both beaches had clear water, this one was clearer though and less Salty, it has salt obviously, I mean it is a beach after all, but it wasn’t too much of it compared to the first one we went to! One of the reasons I enjoyed this beach a lot was for the simple fact that it had a LOT of stones for me to choose from, like a lot, I mean we practically on a mountain of rocks when we went sooo….of course I was going rock and shell hunting on it, I mean wouldn’t you!?

You see I’m a collector of stones and shells sooo seeing that, I was loving every moment, I had a bag full of it, that’s how many I had, okay half a bag, I tried not to go too crazy, although I still ended up grabbing a good amount…..leave me alone okay, It was my first time in Puerto Rico sooo if there’s nice stones and shells I’m grabbing them!! I enjoyed the water this time while there like there was a shallow section, where the waves weren’t so in your face that’s where I was, also the waves were too much, because there were big rocks blocking it from splashing on you, but it wasn’t blocking it too much to where the waves weren’t able to go over it, they were nice!!

This beach was very beautiful, you could see little fishes in the water, they’ll stay by your feet if you let them and if you don’t move, but they won’t harm you, I think they just like the company, I saw a duck as well and a few doves, there were boats going by, it was just really nice, after being there for a couple of hours, we eventually let and got something to eat, the food was somewhat alright, but it wasn’t the greatest where we stopped, which is a shame because it a famous place, but hey they can’t all be great, I didn’t mind them though!!

Day 6-Seis Day 2 in San Juan Battlefield Fort (Going Sight Seeing)

We’ve come to Day 6, Friday’s journey…..back in San Juan this time with a different agenda, SIGHTSEEEING!! It was a pretty good time, saw a lot of different things, we went to this historical place that’s pretty popular, we had a bit of lunch at this GREAT restaurant, oh my gosh, had the most amazing appetizer, it was fried plantains (Tostones Rellenos) which is stuffed plantain cups if that makes sense and on top was shredded king crab and let me tell you, I was in love,

It was soooo good like, I couldn’t stop talking about it, it was that good, also I love food so when I eat something and I can’t stop talking about it, you know you did good!! I also had a seafood Mofongo, so it had shrimp….squid and clams or mussels one of them…..but I can’t stand clams and mussels sooo I just ate the shrimp and the squid, yes I like squid, but I also like fried calamari soo, I actually thought the squid was octopus, but then I learned it was squid, but it taste just like octopus, the squid was cooked with the shrimp though,

I’m a weird one, I’ll try anything as long as it’s good and squid and octopus is good to me, also in case you’re wondering what Mofongo it’s pretty much the same thing I had for an appetizer only mushed up and it’s good, I had my seafood Mofongo with garlic sauce, it was a good lunch! After lunch we then continued to walk around the area and continue our sightseeing, we ended up checking out this historical fort place, fun fact the fort that we visited was actually once a battlefield in the war days, like a base in a way, they would look out for any invaders or ships and that and then eventually it turned into a popular spot for tourist to check out, which is pretty cool, it’s also kind of like a castle, like it looks like one and you’re able to explore the inside of it, I didn’t get to unfortunately,

cause it was closed, but I did see a lot of it so it was okay, the hills on the fort are tall and it’s a bit of a walk, not too bad, it’s more intimidating to walk it looks wise, but actually walking it, not as bad, you get there pretty quick actually!! After exploring the area and taking lots of pictures, we headed back to where we stayed, but not before getting Gelatos, it was actually my first time trying it and it’s pretty darn good, I wanted to try this Strawberry Cheesecake flavor with vanilla…..but they didn’t have it, so instead I picked Coffee and Vanilla and that was delicious, I’m glad my back up was a good choice, but yeah day 6 was eventful!!

That’s everything I’ve journaled out, Day 7 and 8, we didn’t really do too much, plus it was the weekend we we’re going back, although Sunday night before our flight back we went to the movies over in PR and watched Black Widow….it was pretty good, I enjoyed the movie, I also had a mac and cheese in the theater and this Hershey triple chocolate cupcake, both good by the way and after the movies, we headed straight toward the airport, we meant to get some dinner, but we didn’t, however we could’ve because our flight got delayed, the pilots were late so we had to wait up until almost 3am before we headed back to the states…..and thinking about that is making me tired lol

Overall my first time in Puerto Rico…..it was a good experience, I’ve never been there until the days i’ve been, but it was a good time, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy myself, I did! Would I ever live there….no not at all…..I hate the heat and even though it’s beautiful and really nice, it just doesn’t feel like a place for me to live, but visiting it, yeah sure why not, I’d go back to a few places here, like that Waterfall place, the beach in San Juan with all the rocks, the place with the food, with the Tostones Rellenos topped with King Crab and that historical fort area, I liked that a lot, maybe one day I get to actually go inside it, but that’s all for my journey and exploration of Puerto Rico, there’s a lot of places I haven’t gone just yet, but i’m sure I’ll discover them at some point, I hope you liked this adventure post, enjoy the pictures, I’m really proud of them so I hope you like them as well!!

It’s about 10pm now sooo, I probably should sign off now, you have a goodnight and I’ll see you in my next post, have a happy rest of the weekend!!

June Days…

Happy Friday, hope you all are having a good one! I hope the title is alright for this post, it kind of sounds like it can be a person’s name, I didn’t know what else to title it, it’s alright for now, I don’t mind it! Speaking of June, we’re coming to the last few days of it, how crazy is that! This month has been mixed for me, I’ve enjoyed it, but I’ve also felt a lot of things with it, this upcoming weekend, literally will be a very significant day for me, I’ve already spoken about it in a recent post, but this Sunday is going to be a year that I’ve not had my dog with me, probably not the biggest thing to a lot of people, but it’s big to me, I won’t discuss more than I’ve already spoken on it, but that’s one of the things that has me feeling a bit mixed with this month!

On the other hand, yesterday we got a very beautiful Supermoon a.k.a Strawberry Moon in the late evening, I made sure I was outside to check it out, I was out there from 7:30pm I’d say to pretty much midnight, although I could’ve gone outside at about 9pm-10pm, the moon took a little long to arrive, but just in case I saw it earlier I didn’t want to miss it, by the time I got inside it was 11:57pm, I didn’t realize I was going to be out there that long, but I was, when I saw it I couldn’t help, but take pictures, the plan was to only take a few and then sit with the moon…..that didn’t happen though, I did stand with it for a bit, before calling it a night, but it was really gorgeous, it was so bright, I was excited when I saw it, it was definitely worth staying out that late for, that was the good part of June!

There’s been a few good moments and some not great moments, but if I’m being honest, I kind of knew it’d be that way, there was a lot going on so I guess I’m not too surprised, although I like June….Summer, well it’s not my favorite, but it’s been okay, I still find it insane how we’re already close to July…..that’s crazy, this year seems to be going slightly faster, but it’s still in no rush which is good you know, still if feels like we just got into this month, but just like with all the other ones, they weren’t design to stay for too long, just for the time being, like I said though, we still have a few more days left to enjoy with June, so just like my normal’s say in Animal Crossing let’s make the most of the day or shall I say days!

I wanted to share some pictures that I took last night, but they aren’t coming up on my computer sooo, I’m going to have to sort that, I’ll show you guys another time! Sorry this wasn’t a long post, but before we sign off I do have something for you guys, I recorded another episode today, it’s a just chatting kind of episode, I had some thoughts I wanted to get out, I hope you guys like it!

A Penny For Your Thoughts….Ep. 25 Daydreamer's Podcast

Happy Friday! In this episode we go a little bit into the rabbit whole of Wonderland, sorta and talk about a very deep topic, Life Purposes…..are you holding your breath!? So am I, don't worry it's just a bit of chat on the whole topic of it, I had some thoughts brewing as well as a few emotions and so I thought I'd talk upon them!

There’ll Always Be A Rainbow Hanging Over Your Head

Not the exact lyrics of the song Rainbow by Kacey Musgrave, but it’s close enough, yesterday I sat outside I ended up having a bit on my mind and I didn’t know why or where it came from, it just kind of showed up out of nowhere so after I had dinner I just sat outside for a couple of hours, plus it was pretty nice out so I thought why not, little did I know we were getting a bit of a thunder storm towards the late evening, that didn’t stop me from continuing to hang out outside though, I love the rain, so I didn’t mind sitting outside with it, plus I was under something to keep me dry so it was all good!

I purposely went towards the rain though, because like I said I love the rain and I love the feel of it and also I like to get my hair wet whenever it rains, it’s one of my favorite reasons to why I like the rain, call me weird if you want I already know it! I tell you something sitting outside while it’s raining is pretty peaceful and very very nice, the thunder and lighting flashing in the sky can be pretty freighting, but the rain itself is very calming, I can sit and watch it for hours if you let me, I’ve done it a few times already!

I don’t know what it is about the rain I just always liked and appreciated it…..but that aside….yesterday I didn’t really know why I was randomly feeling things after a while I just started singing to myself, I sang a song by one of my all time favorite artist, you might have already heard me talking about her a few times, Alexz Johnson is her name, but I ended up singing a song from her latest album Still Alive, which is also the name of the song I sang to myself, I love that song, it’s so good! Not too long after singing the song to myself…..I’m not really sure what made me look at the sky, well I always look up at the sky, but when I was sitting there in my own mind, I glanced up and I saw something, that something was a rainbow…..

I had to double check because it was a little hard to tell at first when looking at it, it appeared slightly faint, but visible enough to notice it, like it wasn’t the brightest, but you still saw it and when I confirmed the rainbow indeed in the sky, it made me happy and smile a bit, I when to grab my camera so I can take a photo of it, but I then came to the realization that the battery had died, I couldn’t even turn the camera on I forgot to charge it and of course the one time I would’ve liked to have captured that, I couldn’t, but I was okay with it, I took it as maybe I was just meant to see it and not photograph it, I also wanted to take a picture of the sky because it was a very pretty color as the sun was setting and all, but again I couldn’t lol, but regardless, it was a good moment, it made me feel a little better seeing it,

Next time I’ll make sure that my camera’s charged, but this time round, it was just good to see it…..It’s one I won’t forget, well I’m going to try at least, but I’m sure I’ll always remember it, I just wanted to share that it was kind of on my mind a bit!

Hope you’re all doing well!

I’ve Got The Month Of May

I was going to go with N’SYNC, but I chose to do it old school and go with The Temptations, plus I thought it was best suited seeing that I literally do have the month of May so it works out! I seriously cannot believe that we have just arrived at the end of April, I do got have to say though, I do appreciate how the months are taking their time to arrive, at least that’s how I personally feel, can’t really speak for everyone else, but I like to think that each month so far has stayed a while, in a sense of they haven’t over stayed, but have just been enjoying themselves for the time they were here for, it’s nice, but that’s just how I have been looking at it, might be weird to say, who knows!

Now although May is set to arrive in a couple of hours, we still have to spend one more day with April and really let her know that she did alright, sure we probably had our up’s and downs, but I got to say that I have a soft spot for April, I mean she gave us a beautiful Super Moon the other night, so gorgeous it was, I didn’t get a photo on the day of it, but I did get one where it was big and bright before the actual Pink Super Moon, I did see it glow though! April for me, has it’s mixed feelings, I do like it, but it also makes me go “oh gosh” that’s only because it’s quite a special and important month to me in many different ways, but yeah April and I see eye to eye and at times don’t, but I still like to acknowledge it as well!

When it came to the month of April, I won’t say it was bad, but it definitely had it’s frustrating and non favorite moments we’ll say, but all that aside, it wasn’t a terrible month, I’m going to choose to take the positives of this soon ending month that is April and I’m going to hope and count on this month that will soon be called May and just trust that all is well with it, because to be honest…..I’m slight wary on it, you might be thinking why!? I have my reasons, but I have a lot of hope that it will be fine, because I’m going to do my damn best to make sure that it is! Just like April, May and I have our moments, but it’s still the month that I have a soft spot for, can’t really tell you how it’s going to be this month, to be fair we all won’t really know how it will be…..guess we’ll find out once we’ve entered it and sat with it for a while, but until then, we’ll wish April a safe and well trip and welcome May once she’s all set!

Here’s a few photo’s I’ve taken throughout the month of April and just some personal favorites of mine ^_^ a bit crazy knowing this is the last blog post of the ending month, hope you like the photos I’ve shared, I’ve been kind into taking pictures of things that inspire me lately, not as much, but somewhat!

Butterfly Wing (Aug 2, 2019)

Disclaimer: As you can see, I wrote this post 3 days ago, it’s just a small story on a butterfly wing that I came across, I thought it was interesting and wanted to share it, however I didn’t post it, but i’m going to post it today, I hope you enjoy half of the pre writing to it, plus some added things as well.

Happy August 2nd Everyone!! Can’t believe we’re already on our last Summer month, soon all the leaves will change colors, we’ll start going back to wearing sweaters with it getting a little colder and we’ll be in the season of Fall (a.k.a Autumn, also known as the Autumn Solstice……I know I could’ve just stuck with fall, but I just wanted to add them all for some reason)

Okay so I don’t really have all that much to talk about, although I did come across something interesting while on a walk coming back from the store, that interesting thing so happen to be a butterfly wing……yep, you read that right, just a butterfly wing, singular, no butterfly attached……..it was weird, i’ve never seen just half of a wing from a butterfly before……..

I was tempted to pick it up when I saw it, I didn’t, I ended up just leaving it be, should’ve taken a photo of it though, I could’ve shared it with you had I gotten a picture of it, but the thought of taken a photo didn’t come to mind until I got home and left it for a bit, it was weird, but also cool.

I also tried looking it up to see if there was a meaning to seeing one (don’t ask why, I just tend to look up things when i’m curious on something or something interest me, heck i’ll be honest, I look up pretty much anything…..well not anything, anything, most things, we all do it)

The search for the meaning of seeing a butterfly wing didn’t really come up to anything, it was more on coming across a butterfly, nothing on just the wing itself……I really should’ve taken a photo, but hey who knows it might still be there or may not (well seeing as it’s the 5th already, I don’t think it’d still be there, although i’d be very surprise if I saw that it was)

but hey at least I got to see one up close for the first time, butterflies I know are seen as good luck, as well as other things so maybe seeing the wing isn’t bad, i’m not sure…..if you’re wondering what kind of butterfly it was (you’re probably not, most likely) but i’m going to tell anyway, because…..why not!?

It was a Monarch Butterfly, they’re lovely they are, all butterflies are, except for moths I don’t like them, not.at.all…..I do have a photo of a Monarch that I took a long while ago, last year to be exact……it’s not the greatest photo, but I could share it if you like!!! I probably could’ve focused on it better, I used my phone to take the photo and that was as good as I was going to get…….

I also drew a butterfly although the pattern on the wings are a bit different to how normal butterflies look, but hey all butterflies are different right!? A little creativity doesn’t hurt anyone….looking at it now though, i’m not really sure why I did this pattern, I tried to draw a butterfly with the actual patterns on it, but it wasn’t working so I ended up just improvising.

Update: So those are the photos, couldn’t transfer them through my phone onto my computer for some reason, so I had to send them to my email….

With my butterfly sketch, I only outlined it with a gel pen, i’m debating on whether to color it in or not, I kinda like it the way it is, hence why there’s still pencil shading, it might not be the best pencil shading, but shading is there….i’m still trying to figure out whether I should give it color or not,

If you you’d like to see color to it just let me know and if you have color suggestions feel free to add them down in the comments, because I have no idea what colors to use if I do decide on coloring it in.

Hope you’re all doing alright and having a good day!!

Monday’s Journal Entry: Just A Walk In The Park (Sept 24,2018)

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all enjoying your day, I just wanted to share my latest journal entry that i’ve written in my thought journal yesterday, it’s all about my day yesterday, I hope you don’t mind me sharing it.

Just A Walk In The Park (Monday Sept 24, 2018)

Today I decided to take a little walk in the park, my morning didn’t quite go the best, but I won’t talk about that, let’s just skip to what my walk in the park was like. So I got to the park and sat on one of the benches that was there, I was expecting to write in my thought journal while I was there, but I didn’t really know what to write about so after being there and sitting on the bench for a bit, I decide to get up and wander around, I went and walked to where that river trail is, the one i’m always telling you guys about, I didn’t go down the trail though, I still have to do that, but I did look at the river for a bit, after doing that I then walked along the park trail, I think there were some kids playing by the little playground before I got there because as I was walking down the park trail, I stopped at some really neat chalk art drawings, I even took a photo of them, I thought it was really cute.

20180924_140528

They even had a hopscotch game, now I haven’t played hopscotch in forever and so I thought i’d relive a little bit of my childhood and play it again, it was quite nice to go back relive that moment of my childhood. They also drew some chalk bubbles which was nice, there was a dog face as well, a few flowers and some other little drawings too, I took some pictures of them, only of certain ones though. I would’ve taken a picture of all of them individually, but I forgot to put the battery back into my camera, I had it charging the other night and forgot to put it back once it was fully charged, and so I had to use my phone aaaand well, I don’t have a lot of space on my phone so I was only able to take a few pictures, I had to delete some photos off my phone before I took anymore pictures, that’s how much space I have on my phone haha.

I also ran into a baby squirrel, it was the cutest little thing I tell you, never saw a baby squirrel before at least not that I remember, but I saw the baby squirrel on the pathway that I was walking and at first I thought it was hurt, because it wasn’t really moving it was just standing in one spot, but the closer I got to it, I saw that it was fine. I’m not sure why it was in the middle of the pathway, but I stopped in front of it and looked at it, it started moving a little slowly, anytime I tried to get closer to it, it would get a little startled so I left it alone, I ended up seeing it twice, once when I walked past it and when I was coming back into the park. The second time it jumped at me, well not like at me, at me if that makes sense, but a little which startled me a bit and I think me getting startled, may have startled it a bit as well, but the squirrel was okay which was my concern.

It was so cute though, I didn’t take a photo of it which I wish that I had, as you know though I didn’t have my camera well I had my camera, but the battery wasn’t in it and I didn’t have enough space on my phone, plus I wasn’t even thinking about taking a photo I just wanted to make sure it was okay. After coming across the baby squirrel I then walked down towards this waterfall that was nearby and was just admiring it as I walked, I ended up going down the path to where it was, to give it a closer look. I also sat with it for a good while……you know being out in the park, walking with nature and just being with yourself as well is actually quite nice, i’ve found that i’m really enjoying just being with myself lately.

I’ll be honest with you guys, I use to not like going places by myself, because I always thought it was a little weird to just be somewhere with just yourself and I would always think what if I have something I want to talk about, who am I gonna tell!? but I find that sometimes you don’t always need to be with someone, that it’s okay to just take yourself out to enjoy the day even if you’re just heading to the park or going for a walk, yeah sure it may feel completely weird and uncomfortable at first when you try it, but the more you do it, the less weird it’ll become, after that it’ll just become a natural thing. Ever since I first took that walk to the park and continued going after that, i’ve found myself really enjoying my own company, even though I always head to the park to think, but even if I have a lot of stuff on my mind, I still do my best to try and enjoy something. Being there yesterday and looking at the waterfall, taking everything in, while listening to music……..it was very nice and calming, plus I felt happier as well and it’s been a while since i’ve felt that.

So that was my journal entry, well most of it, I did add different stuff to it while writing, but yeah I just wanted to share my day with you guys, I hope you enjoyed it, anyway I hope that you all have a lovely day/night and or evening.

Take A Little Walk With Me……

Hey everyone hope you’re all well, okay so i’m gonna be honest……i’m not really sure what to write about today so I thought i’d just take you on a walk into nature, don’t worry you don’t need to walk anywhere unless you want to then go right ahead, although I must say this, I already went for a walk which is why I said you don’t need to. You see the cover photo of this blog post!? it’s nice isn’t it, i’d say it is, but that’s only because I took that photo, now i’m not saying i’m the greatest at taking photo’s but i’m actually quite happy with this one, I took more, but you’ll see them soon.

Anyway let’s talk walks in nature, have you ever noticed how nice and relaxing it is when you’re just walking!? I’m sure a lot or some of you have, for those who love walking and enjoy being outdoors i’m sure they know exactly what that’s like. Sometimes you don’t realize how nice and beautiful nature really is, the way the trees look, the way they move and sway with the wind pushing and flowing through their leaves. You also have the wind itself, the wind actually as a very interesting sound to it, I was walking and this time i brought my headphones because as some of you may remember I forgot them the last time I went for a walk ha…..but yeah so I brought my headphones and put on some music as I walked but before I put my music on, I could hear the wind blowing through my earphones and it was mainly when I was moving, when I stopped it didn’t really make that much sound.

Now if you’re the kind to take in everything you would know that nature has a lot of sounds to it, the wind has a very unique sound to it, obviously I can’t mimic it, but we’ll just say that it’s very unique. When it comes to nature itself everything is unique and has a very specific sound to it, birds with the way they sing, we all know that every bird is different, even trees have a sound to them when the wind flows through them, just everything. It was really hot out actually, very hot, but there was also a good breeze happening as well so that was nice, but anyway back to what I was talking about, so I went for a walk and I ended up going to this little park close by, now this was the first time I ever went to this park, i’d always pass it, but never thought of giving it a chance, but today I decided to give it a try, see what it was about and it was actually pretty alright, is it my favorite!? no not really, but it was still nice.

So I walked around the park for a good while, took a picture of a flower bush and while I was walking through the park, there were some dragonflies flying around and flying through this little grass hill, one flew over my head and kinda followed me a bit, but then flew off somewhere else. I spent about an hour or so there and in the park they have a little playground, but I wasn’t a huge fan of it that much though. I continued to walk around the park for a good while, I sat on the benches that were there too a little bit, I was gonna walk back home after being there for a bit, but something told me to stay for a little bit longer, so I did and I saw another dragonfly and it was flying around of course and I watched it fly around and you know how when you see something and it kinda puts you in this little trance for a bit!? well that’s what happened with me, as I was watching the dragonfly I couldn’t help, but want to follow it so I did.

As I followed the dragonfly, it ended up flying somewhere else after a while of course, but I walked up the grass hill and like I said the park isn’t that big at all, but when you walk up the grass hill it, it makes it seem like there’s a bit more to it and believe it or not there was bit actually, when I walked up the little hill there was this fence and some more trees, but I also discovered there was a little passage way with a river, I think it was a river, I was gonna go down the passage way, although I wasn’t quite sure if I should’ve went, but I saw someone else down there and thought maybe it’s okay to go and I started to kinda go down the way to see more, but as I was walking down, I found that the walk down was very steep and I was really nervous because I was like I don’t want to fall down, there was so many stones and rocks and I didn’t want to risk going down there, so I said you know what i’ll just come back when i’m wearing proper shoes next time.

I was wearing comfortable shoes, I had my bob shoes on and if you own a pair of bobs you know how comfortable they are, they’re so comfortable, however I felt I needed better shoes to walk down the trail, so i’ll wear some sneakers or boots next time I go, that way I know i’m okay. So instead of going down the trail fully, I took a few pictures of it, there was some ducks in the water, very cute, although the pictures with the ducks in it are on my camera and I only put the pictures I took on my phone on here so yeahhhh…..but the pictures are nice, I think they are anyway ha. After being at the park for a good period of time I started heading back home, I found a feather on my way back and I also spotted this really adorable bird it was yellow and black, very cute.

Don’t worry I have it here to show you, it was flying around this garden of a shortcut I took home and I wasn’t even paying attention that much and then all of sudden my eyes took focus on this little bird who was in someone else’s garden and when I saw it I had to take a photo, it kept flying around and I thought I was gonna miss it, but it actually let me take a photo of it on my phone, I tried to take one on my camera as well, but it ended up flying away, but hey at least it let me take a photo of it right!?

After I watched the bird fly off, I continued my way back to my house and i’m listening to my music, now I don’t really know where it came from, but out of nowhere, my attention went towards another little feather only this one was floating through the air, now normal people would just keep walking, but nope not me I stopped and started following the feather and it kept on going and going and the way it was floating, was as if it was leading me somewhere, i’m not really sure it’s probably just me, but I followed it and although I was in the middle of the street which isn’t smart, I caught the feather, lucky there wasn’t any cars when I was in the middle of the street, however once I got on the sidewalk a car came by so that was a close one, although now that I think about it, i’m not sure if it came the way I went or the other way, away from where I was!? We have two different ways cars can come from, ones a one way I think and the other cars can just come by with no problem.

Yeah so that was my day, nothing else really happened within my walk, once I came back I sat in my backyard for a bit and yeah that was it, thanks for taking this little walk with me in nature, I hope you guys found this interesting, I know you can’t really take anything from this, but I hope you still enjoyed it, I didn’t know what to write so I thought why not share and bring you on a walk with me and tell you all about the cool things I discovered, but anyway I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you all have a goodnight, morning and or evening 🙂
