I Don’t Know If You Know This, But Christmas Is Literally Next Week!!?

Happy Holidays!!

It was yesterday that I came to the realization that we’re only 1 week away from Christmas…..1 WEEK!! I don’t know why December feels like it both just started and has more days to it then normal!? At least this year, am I the only one that feels that way? Possibly…..maybe…..I guess part of me isn’t ready to start 2022 yet, although I also am because I’m hoping for this upcoming year that is 2022 to have some kind of big change that ends up good and more than I could ever hope for!

Not saying I can’t make something big happen myself although when it comes to trying to make big things happen it can be kind of intimidating because who knows if it’ll be really big or something that feels big, but is actually just small, you know what I mean!? Not that there’s anything wrong with having something feel big, but is actually small in comparison to what you may have had in mind…..what I’m trying to say is I just would like 2022 to be the year that everything falls in to place, however way it may land or choose to land!

To be able to make up our minds about certain things that we may have wanted to do for a very good while now, but somewhere deep down we’re still afraid to do anything about it, finally choosing a direction to go in and sticking with it because it something we truly believe in and truly see it to be the better thing for us in the end or because we know we’re really interested and happy doing those things we love!

Not wanting to regret a single thing that comes next and just allowing ourselves to just go for those things, not wanting to be afraid and feeling like we soon won’t have a choice because we already made the choice, even if it feels wrong at first, but really just turns out to be something we were actually looking for and wishing to happen or maybe even weren’t looking for…..

Don’t you just want to be able to get up in the morning and always know you have something to look forward to, wake up knowing you’re where you’re truly meant to be!? Where you have always wanted to be despite the fears and doubts that constantly float around in your head? Don’t you want to be happy? Maybe you’ve really been wishing to be near that special someone for quite sometime and at the moment you haven’t really been able to see that person, but you know you’re wanting so bad to have them close by without always having that thought of I wish they were…..

maybe there’s something you’ve had your heart set out to finally pick up a new hobby or creative spark, but have been feeling a little low on energy or not feeling it to be the best time, due to being overly busy or just because you really haven’t had time to get around to it! If there’s anything I would like to come from 2022 that I can honestly say would make it if not the best year, but where I would consider it the best year overall, is to uncover a new found creative spark where I can have endless amount of creativity where I’m left happy everyday and to finally reunite and have my guy by me always….

Those two thing…..would make 2022 an automatic favorite, everything else that follows and comes with the year will be bonuses, but if I had to really say what I would like to come from this upcoming year it would be unlimited amount of creativity and reuniting with my love….if I were to add some other things in there…..I would say…..more adventures, letting go any fears and uncertainties, new transformations…..I guess I would just be open to anything that I have yet to discover! 2021 has been rough…..there’s been some new things, but there’s also been a few postpones, which I know happens sometimes it’s for the best and maybe you find you need a bit more time to sort things out properly!

I think we’re all in need for 2022 to be that sense of fresh air that we haven’t had in a while, be that start of something new and different to what we already know, a new kind of adventure that we know is calling to us, but are having trouble answering and letting in because we don’t know what will come of it…..that’s how I’ve been feeling these days I guess….and it’s the first time in a very long while that I’m sharing my own personal thoughts where I don’t feel like I have to figure my words out….this is just what I feel, what I have been feeling, but didn’t come around to truly knowing how to express these thoughts until now!

I guess winter really is the best time to reflect on all that we’ve kept bottled in…..2021 had it’s best and not so great moments and the realization that it’s practically over is really….something, we only have Christmas and then we’re off to a new year, so if you have any last minute reflection to do…..definitely think about them, ask yourself what it is you want to happen for this upcoming year, leave the fear to the side, the worries and try to just look for the road and if you can’t find it…..let your heart and intuition guide you to what feels right and when you do…..keep following it even if you are scared, you will always get to where you need to, you just have to be willing to take that leap and trust that where you land is going to be safe and lead you to where you’re meant to be!

So We’ve Entered December….

We’re now on the second day of December and let me tell you….it’s one of them chaotic days, you know the stressed out, everything is everywhere and all you want to do is close your eyes and take a nap and just listen to the silence around you, yeah that kind of day! It sorta slowed down a bit as I’m writing this, but earlier, there was a lot going on.

I can’t believe we’re nearing the end of the year, talk about 2021 flying by yeah!? It doesn’t help that it’s around the holidays too, I mean the holidays are ALWAYS busy with everyone doing late Christmas shopping trying to get everything done all at once and probably driving themselves mad to be fair with how hectic it gets around this time of year, I mean it never fails, but we just learn to accept it as it is!

Last week when we we’re still in the month of November, even though it ended two days ago….still, when I tell you last week was busy….it was busy….everything was happening within that whole week, Thanksgiving/my nephews birthday as well as his party after his birthday, there was just a lot of events in one day and hey you would think after it was over that you’d be able to relax somewhat, but noo, not quite!!

Now we’re in a whole new month and the years practically over…..and Christmas is making it’s way towards us, I mean it’s a couple weeks away, but if you really think about it, it’s already here, It was here once November started and once Halloween left the building…..I can’t really say what this years been like is that weird to say!? Some people might be able to talk about all that’s happened with them and everything they’ve been up to and what they’re planning on doing for the upcoming year…..however I feel like it’s still a bit uncertain just what will come for the new year….as far as what this years been like, well…..a lot of different things happened, some slightly big, some not that big!

I had a few new experiences, nothing too dramatic though, but they were still nice ones nonetheless! I did have some plans that didn’t quite go accordingly, but that’s okay, a lot of the time, things work out better when they aren’t planned, but just because, plans don’t happen in the time you want them too, doesn’t mean it won’t happen later down the line, everything happens for a reason, if it’s meant to happen it will always find a way and I will always believe that to be true, so…..if plans fell short for some of you out there this year, don’t give up on them, maybe those plans will transform into something completely different then what you might have initially thought and will end up surprising you in a way that you have yet to imagine!

Other than that, it’s been quite the year, full of many ups and downs and whirlwinds galore, 2021 has brought a lot of mixed feelings for everyone, including myself, but there’s still time to make the most of the year with these next few weeks of December, if it’s been tough, just keep doing your best and have faith that it’ll turn around soon enough! Sorry if this post is a short one…..kind of dealing with a headache at the moment, just a mild one though, plus I’ve been a bit low on energy, but I wanted to try and write something for today!

This Is Halloween A.K.A The Nightmare Before Christmas!

Well I’ve got the title down so that’s good! Good Morning everyone! Happy Monday, we have arrived to a whole new week….yeah the weekend sure went by quickly didn’t it!? Hope you all had a good weekend though…so what shall we discuss for the start of the week, gee I wonder!? Okay I’m sure you can all guess what we’ll be talking about here, that’s right today’s topic we’ll be on the pumpkin king himself Jack the Skeleton!! Now I’d like to think that a lot of people know of this movie and probably have it listed as one of their favorites even….I wouldn’t say it’s a favorite of mine per say, however I do really like this movie and whenever it is on, I watch it most time, it’s a really good movie!

It’s also very creepy at time, I’ve been watching a lot of Halloween movies these days, I mean we are in the season of it so might as well check out a few Halloween based movies and The Nightmare Before Christmas is the kind of movie that everyone plays around this time, it’s also the kind of movie that people play around Christmas as well….if you didn’t already know there’s even a debate on whether this movie is to be considered a Halloween film or Christmas film which is if you really think about, it’s really more Halloween then Christmas, I’m on that side yes, but also not on that side….

What I mean is to me it’s more Halloween then Christmas because let’s face it it screams Halloween, even when you get to the Christmas parts of the film, it’s has that undertone of Halloween to it, but I can understand people seeing it as a Christmas film because most people prefer to watch it around Christmas then Halloween…that being said I think it shouldn’t be a debate with “Is it Christmas or Is it Halloween” just go with it as you feel! If you prefer watching it during the Winter around Christmas time then it’s a Christmas movie, if you like to watch it the moment the Halloween season starts then it’s Halloween, although Tim Burton himself said it’s a Halloween movie not Christmas, but who says you can’t change the rules and decide with it how you feel it to be!

Anyway, is a very great and creepy movie, like there’s this one scene where Jack when he happens to get pulled into The Christmas world and he’s singing about what everything is, you’ll see him going through someone’s window and the way he does it is very unsettling, like seriously, you won’t notice it when you first watch it, but after a few times….you start to notice and question a lot of things in that movie also did anyone see Sally jump out of the tower and just land on the ground the way she did!? She’s lucky she’s able to just sow herself back together with her being a ragdoll kind of character…..goodness gracious, every time I watch that part I’m like “Sally girl, what the heck!?”

And let’s not forget the Boogieman is this movie…..he always gives me the hibbie jibbies with just the stuff he’s made out of…..it doesn’t matter how many time I watch the movie…..I will never EVER get over his reveal of being made out of bugs….he’s LITERALLY just a sack of bugs….it’s sooo gross, I have to look away every time that part comes up, it’s just NO….no, please no! I think the best part about this movie is that it’s pretty much all Claymation based, it took them 3 years I believe to create this movie, because they had to get everything exactly the way they wanted! The amount of time and effort and the creative way they chose to make this movie, is incredible!!

I give very big props to those artists that work with Clay and turn it into something so unique, let alone decide they want to make a whole movie or show with it! I know animation and video games take so much time, but people who put so much heart into stop motion and having to do so many takes with it just to turn it into something that we’re able to watch, like the Nightmare Before Christmas…..that’s a lot of work! They’re not just doing one thing, they have to make sure the clay doesn’t fall apart and that it doesn’t dry too much either when doing specific scenes, that’s like a whole new experience that they’re giving us…now I’m not saying that we don’t get cool experiences with regular animations or anything, animation is also something that gives us something different to experience, but I just find it fascinating how people who work with Clay do things like this!

I would have thought this movie to be just drawn and animated, but no it’s made with Clay this entire movie, how awesome is that!? I mean I also feel they combined animation with it of course, but still, it’s amazing!! I mean that takes a lot of time and creativity to do something so out of this world that you probably wouldn’t even believe it! Back to the movie though, Nightmare Before Christmas, great movie, it’s got some nice songs…it’s sweet at times, Sally and Jack are great, the other characters too, but yeah….it’s just super creepy, will I watch it though!? Of course I enjoy that movie!

Let’s Talk: The Holidays

Merry Christmas everyone and for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, happy holidays!! I hope you all had a nice and chilled out day and or overall good day and I hope you were able to enjoy yourself, I didn’t really do too much for Christmas, I saw some of my cousins later in the evening for a bit,

Originally we were meant to just drop something off, but we ended up spending some time with them, which was nice, I don’t normally see them all that much so it was different, but pretty nice too, although it didn’t really feel like a holiday, it just felt like a regular old day, except everyone was saying Merry Christmas and you had to go “oh yeah, Merry Christmas”

It’s weird, but it was alright, had a tea party with my little cousin a few times, yes you read that right, a few times, she told me to put it away and then wanted me to take them out again so that was something, I was trying to get her to play something else, she had a lot nice toys, I asked her if she wanted to play with them and she said no, so we continued to play tea party, we almost made some bracelets until we had to go, but it was fun!!

She also got mad at me for something, not sure about what exactly, but that happened, after a while though it was fine, I tell you kids are weird and very confusing sometimes, but you gotta love them right!?

After that, not much else happened really, today just felt like a regular day, nothing too fancy, just yeah, a Wednesday that was also a holiday, it wasn’t all bad though, not at all bad……now all that’s left to do is get ready for the New Year…..how do I feel you might ask!? I couldn’t tell you, i’m just going to try and make the most of these few days where 2019 is still a thing…….

Okay well that’s everything I have I guess, I could write more, but i’m not sure where else I should go with this post, so i’m just going to leave it here and just do my best to not worry or freak out about everything i’m trying not to freak out about, don’t ask okay, my brains doing gymnastics and i’m trying very hard not to get anxious…….

Christmas Memories…..

How’s everyone’s holiday going!? I hope you’re all enjoying yourself and have had a good day, today just feels like a regular old Tuesday to me even though it is Christmas Eve, but I hope you guys have enjoyed the holidays so far, we still got Christmas Day to get through, so although Christmas Eve is almost heading off into hibernation soon, we still have tomorrow to enjoy and make the most of so in case some of you are sad it’s almost over…….

Just know it isn’t quite over yet!! So question since we’re on the topic of it, how did you guys spend today!? Also when it comes to Christmas Eve do you guys open presents the day of Christmas eve or do you do it traditionally and wait until midnight when it gets close to Christmas Day!?

When I was younger, I used to wait up until midnight to open presents, everyone else would open them right away, but I followed tradition, now well I probably would just open it, however I still try and stay with tradition and wait until at least Christmas Eve, but I won’t wait until midnight,

I will wait until it gets a little dark though so around night time, I haven’t done it traditionally in a very long time, it was always fun giving yourself the anticipation with having to wait until a certain time to open any gifts you got, at least for me it was anyway, everyone else couldn’t wait, but for a while I made it my duty to wait until midnight to allow myself to open gifts, my own family would get impatient telling me to open it, but I would not,

I took it very seriously, I don’t know why I would make myself wait until midnight when I was allowed to open it the moment I got it, what a weird kid right!? Let’s be honest here, no kid would wait that long to open a gift!!

The one thing about doing that though is whenever I bought someone a gift I would make them wait until midnight rolled around to open it, i’d tell them I got them a gift, but that they would have to wait to get it, which of course they did not like very much, but that was the rules and I made sure to let them know……good times those moments were, good times.

I still think I was weird kid though…..for actually waiting is what I mean, I was an overall weird kid, but more because I actually didn’t mind waiting to open gifts, I know I probably didn’t have to explain it, but I did it anyway…..

Just A Quick And Short Post….

Okay so this post is a little late, it’s around 11:30pm so pretty close to midnight…….if I knew what I was writing, I’d be the one to express it right now, but I do not know therefore, i’m not really sure how this post is going to go so there’s a good chance it’ll be pretty short.

At midnight it’ll be Christmas Eve, yeah I know how crazy is that!? This year has gone by pretty quick yet also pretty smooth in terms of giving certain months their time to hang around, preferably October and November so the towards the end pretty much!! Now i’m not sure about you guys, but Christmas and the whole month of December, isn’t really feeling all that high spirited, most people love this time of the year and it should be like that for everyone, but that’s not always the case, but people should still enjoy themselves even if a lot of people aren’t really loving it this year!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for me, will just be seen as another day, but for those of you who love the feeling that December brings and love Christmas, I hope you have a fantastic, beautiful and most enjoyable holiday today (kinda) and tomorrow (Wed) I say that because by the time this is posted it’ll already be midnight, which will make it Christmas Eve.

I do hope that you all have a wonderful holiday and that the rest of the year and the start of not only a new year, but decade as well….goodness gracious, that’s truly insane, I don’t even want to think about it……but, anyway you all have a Merry Christmas and a lovely day, whatever you do, I hope you all enjoy yourself massively and get at least one thing off your wishlist that you’ve been wanting and you know just enjoy everything!!

I don’t think I have anything else to say, so you have a goodnight and a good time whatever you do, i’ll write you all in my next post!!

Merry Christmas Everyone and Happy Holidays to those who don’t really celebrate Christmas, I hope that you all are enjoying the holidays and enjoying your time with family and friends or whoever you’re celebrating the day with. I’m not really doing much for the holidays, i’ve just been home mainly, i’ve talked about this before where I said whenever the holidays come around we don’t really do much, for us (my family) the holidays are just regular days, we don’t do anything special as i’m sure a lot of you might.

The last time we did have everyone together during Christmas was a very long time, I don’t remember the actual year, but it was a good while, the only thing I remember about it was that my friend and his cousin spent it with me, but we haven’t really had a big gathering since then though………it’s crazy to think that the older you get the less important the holidays seems……….we all know that Christmas is mainly for the kids, kids make the holidays, especially Christmas, without them we wouldn’t really be into the holidays as much.

Do any of you have holidays memories!? I don’t really have a lot of holiday memories and if I do they’re very few ones………..I remember one time where I walked into my moms room of an old house I use to live in and I think I was looking for something in the closet of the room, but i’m not sure, but I remember looking up and seeing presents in the top shelf of the closet, but I pretended that I didn’t see them though, that was one memory.

Another memory was the last time all of my family were together for Christmas, one of the presents that I got from one of my aunts was a picture frame, not kidding, not sure why she thought i’d want the frame, but she gave it to me and ironically I still have it and it’s in use, still it’s a bit of a weird gift to give someone, but hey made use out of it, so I guess it wasn’t a bad gift. I actually don’t think i’ve ever received a bad gift before, anything I use to get, I would keep it for a long period of time, unless I decided I didn’t want it anymore then i’d give it away or something.

The last few Christmas’s that we’ve had, my friends would come over and they stay for the weekend and we’d all play video games and just hang out in my house and just enjoy each other’s company, that was fun, I miss those days. I don’t really have any other memories to share with Christmas, today like I said earlier we didn’t really do much, I did speak a bit with my boyfriend and his family in the morning so that’s kinda like a nice memory, even though I wasn’t actually there with them, but still I got to speak with them a bit and see them and what they got for Christmas which was very nice, after that I did a bit of cleaning in my room while listening to some music, watched some videos and did some writing, nothing too big, but i’d say that it wasn’t a bad day at all, it was actually quite nice.

Chatting Session: Letting It Snow While Reflecting & Talking All Things Random (Dec 13, 2018)

Disclaimer: This was written earlier in the day 

That title there kinda makes it sound like I have some kind of super power or something, although I wish I did have some kind of superpower and it would be real nice to control the weather a bit, i’m not storm from X-Men though, so I can’t do that. Even if I did have a superpower I wouldn’t chose to control the weather actually, i’d go with teleportation I don’t know I always thought i’d be cool to just be able to be anywhere you wanted in flash you know!? How about you guys, what would you’re superpower be if you were giving one!? Also I hope you’re all doing well.

Okay now that we’ve talked on what kind of superpowers we’d have if given one, let’s talk snow!! The reasoning for talking about snow is because it’s snowing where I am, not sure when it actually started, but when I woke up it was snowing which then made me start sing one of of my favorite Christmas songs, Let It Snow sung and maybe written by Dean Martin, I know he sings it, but I don’t know if he wrote it, but anyway, I like the snow, not a big fan of the cold, but the snow it’s pretty alright. It always looks so nice when it starts coming down, it starts off slowly and then quickens the more snow there is………I love the peaceful feeling the snow brings, it keeps you calm and when you’re looking at it, you don’t feel stressed, you feel cold, but not overwhelmed or anything like that.

You know it’s quite interesting when you learn that all snowflakes aren’t the same, they all fall a different way, they’re different sizes and shapes, but even though that is true, you know that they all get to the ground eventually. It’s crazy how some of them are very noticeable and then you have those that aren’t as noticeable, some are for a second and others you don’t see them, when there’s a lot of snow though, that’s when you start wanting to sing Winter Wonderland. Seeing a whole blanket full of snow is like being in a whole new world, makes you want to lay in it even though you know that if you did, you’d be freezing………i’m sure it would still feel nice though in a way ha. Everyone loves whenever there’s snow on tress, it’s probably because it gives them some sort of character, you look at them and right away you’re in awe.

The fact that it’s even snowing tells us how close Winter is, it’s literally next week I believe, gotta love the cold weather right!? You know it’s crazy because even though, i’m not a huge fan of the cold, it seems to be the one season that sticks with me through all the seasons, there’s not one day where i’m not super cold, unless it’s very very hot. If I were to turn on the fan I have, give it a few minutes or so and i’ll either be putting on a cardigan or i’m turning it off, that’s how easily cold I get, don’t know why, i’ve just always been the cold one. I’m sure you all know the movie Frozen right!? Well i’m not a huge fan of the movie, it’s not a bad movie it’s just not my favorite, but i’m pretty much Elsa when it comes to the cold, just to give you an idea. 

I’ve been doing some reflecting today a bit, which I tend to do quite often these days I find, maybe this years just a year of reflection I don’t know………Christmas is around the corner, I hope you guys are excited, it’s crazy how close it actually is, once that’s up the New Year will be here………..it feels like 2018 just started and now it’s coming to an end, I guess we say that every year don’t we!? I think it all depends on whether the year made an impact on you or not when it comes to reflecting on it. I think if the year didn’t leave you looking back on it, it wouldn’t feel like anything changed for you, it just would feel like another year.

Everything goes by so quickly, which I can see why they say not to blink otherwise you just might miss something important……..although we have our reflection kind of days, it’s not until you get to the end of the year where you find yourself really looking back on things, I didn’t really start reflecting much until the ending of 2017 for certain reasons, before then I didn’t really look back on the years prior, at least not as much as I have this year. I know we still have a few more days, 2 more weeks until this year is over, so i’ll be reflecting a bit more, as i’m sure you guys will too before we have to look back on 2018 one last time.

Chatting Sessions: Let’s Talk The Holidays & What’s On Your Christmas List!?

So as we all know, we’re in our last month of the year 2018, most of the big holidays have come and went and one of the last big holiday’s of the year is coming around the corner in a couple of weeks, 2 weeks to be exact I believe. We are close to entering the season of Winter (although it already feels like it’s Winter) Winter officially arrives next week, so for those who aren’t a big fan of the cold or maybe you are because you’re weird (ha kidding, we all have favorite seasons) be sure to get your Winter gear ready, if you haven’t already done so, because from the feels of it, it’s gonna be quite the season. So keep warm and keep your teas, coffee and or hot chocolates ready for stand by, just so you have something to reach for when you need a little warming up……..but anyway let’s move on and talk about everybody’s favorite holiday (well those who celebrate it) let’s talk about Christmas!!

Okay we all know Christmas is around the corner as I stated earlier and we also know that the holiday is celebrated intensively and brings excitement to people in a lot of different ways. Once we arrive into the cheerful and cold month, we all like to welcome it with open arms while bringing on the decorations, the festive music and of course most peoples favorites, Christmas gifts……….you know when you really think about, have you ever noticed that Christmas is the only holiday that really gets a lot of attention!? I mean think about it, no one gets all hyped up over Easter, Halloween (except for those who really love the holiday) and let’s not even talk about Thanksgiving, people practically almost, always skips over this holiday and the only time we remember it, is when it’s like a week or hey even a few days away.

We literally treat Thanksgiving as if it’s the ugly duckling of all holidays, the only difference is in the ugly duckling story, they learn to appreciate the duck and learn to love it the way it is……….we don’t really appreciate this holiday, which is kinda sad……..because it’s like we know it exist, but we just don’t really care much about it, take Halloween for example: it’s like the 3rd best holiday in my opinion, it comes around we get all excited (well I don’t, I don’t really like Halloween, sorry not sorry) 

We treat Halloween better then we treat Thanksgiving, once the scary holiday is over, we start bringing out the Christmas decorations, we put on the music and prepare for the gift, all before Thanksgiving even arrives………..it’s like walking into a place and you see everyone having a good time and then you show up excited to join, you say something to everyone, they turn around, give you a look and then go back to what they were doing and you’re just standing there awkwardly, with a not hurt smile and that’s what I like to imagine Thanksgiving feeling like every year. 

Moving on though, I know I went off track there, back to Christmas………so like I said we prepare for this holiday a lot earlier before it arrives and I get it, it’s one of those holidays that everyone looks forward to because there’s something about it that just makes you feel good, maybe it’s the Christmas music (totally the Christmas music) it could be the decorations (I mean who doesn’t love decorating, right!?) oooor it’s probably the gifts people look forward to (I don’t have anything for this one) whatever it is (could be the whole holiday) we know we really embrace the holiday season. Now when it come to December, we all get that question, that question that we can’t avoid even if we tried, you know the one………and if you don’t, it goes like this: “So…….what do you want for Christmas!?” yeah that one. 

I’m not saying everyone hates that question, i’m sure there’s a lot of people who once that question is asked, they’re already writing it down on a piece of paper or even before it’s asked their handing you an envelope of all the things that have caught their eye and I know what you’re probably thinking “Why would they have an envelope!?” you don’t know, maybe they’re secret agents of some sort or they just really love the holiday ha, no, but in all seriousness, sometimes that question isn’t easy to answer. I mean when we’re kids, we want everything that is displayed around us and don’t say that’s not true, because you know it is, it’s very true, kids love stuff.

However the older we get, we tend to have trouble really telling those around us what we want for Christmas when the question is asked to us…………i’ve been asked 3 times and more of course, what it is that I want for Christmas, since the beginning of November and when December arrived and the only answer i’m able to give is………”I don’t know.” Every time, well I should say every Christmas i’m asked that question, I never actually know what it is that I want and a lot of people will have a list of things that they saw and was like “I want that” me on the other hand, I don’t write down list of things I want, surprising right!? I write everything else down, just not that.

I don’t know, I always feel the older you get, the things that were once a huge thing, aren’t that huge as much and when it comes to the holidays, at least for me, it just isn’t the same, everyone does their own thing and no one likes spending time together, when it comes to the holidays, you would think that’s what it’s about and then you realize……it’s not, but i’m not trying to bring down anyone’s holiday spirit, you keep those spirits up as high as you can, because you deserve to be excited for it. 

I’m just expressing my thoughts on how it is from my side, but I know that everyone’s different, but anyway back to the whole What’s On Your Christmas List!? topic, I don’t have a lot of things on my Christmas list, whether that’s a mental list or an actual list……….I don’t know, maybe when it comes to me, there isn’t much physical things that I want, if that makes sense!? I mean when you’re younger again you want everything, that’s all because we’re kids and that’s how kids are, they want all the toys and things that interest them, but I haven’t been that way for a long while and maybe that’s just me, who knows………….but anyway, to bring the spirit back up on this post, you know how I talked when people ask you what you want for Christmas and sometimes it’s hard to answer!?

Yeah well, try reverting the question back to the person asking you what you want for Christmas, 9/10, 8/10, depending on the person, their not always gonna know either. If you’re lucky they’ll tell you what it is they want or they’ll either say the same thing saying they’re not sure, they’ll tell you they don’t want anything or you have those kind of people who won’t tell you what they want and when you bring it up, they pretend or act like you didn’t ask the question……….anyone else know these kind of people!? Let me know, I can’t be the only one here.

Overall, no matter how you see the holidays, it’s important to make the most of it and appreciate the things around you as well, as the people you spend your days with and enjoy it as much as you can too, because not everyone is able to celebrate these kind of holidays and if they do celebrate it, they don’t always have people to celebrate it with. You don’t need a lot to have a good holiday, the holidays are meant to be enjoyed and spent with people who mean a lot to you, whether you’re spending it with family, friends or whoever you want to spend it with, as long as you’re having a good time and you have good people around you then that’s all that matters. 

I hope with this post I don’t seem like the Grinch or anything, I know everyone’s different and i’m not saying that you can’t enjoy gifts, because who am I to say that!? The holidays can mean a lot of different things to people and if gifts are something that get you in the holiday spirit, then be happy, jump around and do a dance, no ones stopping you, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on it.

Do You Prefer Halloween Or Christmas Movies!?

Sooooo we all know that Halloween is tomorrow well in an hour or so, i’m sure a lot of you are excited and maybe some of you don’t really care, i’d consider myself in the “eeeeh i’m not really feeling this holiday” circle, but I know a lot of people embrace the spirit of halloween and everything. I haven’t participated in halloween for i’d say about 3 years now, the last time I did was back in 2015 and I was spending it with a friend, after that I just wasn’t super interested in halloween anymore, maybe i’ll get into again sometime later but for now, it’s not really my thing.

Since we’re on the topic of Halloween though, I know there’s a lot of things people look forward to when it comes the creepy scary holiday, some for the costumes, others for the candy and then you have those who don’t really care all that much for the holiday entirely, but just enjoy it because of the theme movies that come with it, which had me thinking, although I know Christmas isn’t for 2 more months, well considering that November is almost here, technically, it isn’t for another month, but even though we still have a few months or a month to go, i’m curious to know……….do you guys prefer Halloween movies oooor do you like the Christmas themed ones instead!?

I know some like the creepy scary kind and others prefer the warm and cozy feeling that the Christmas ones bring. Now if you were to ask me which ones I prefer, i’m not sure if i’d be able to really say, I don’t really watch a lot Halloween movies, so maybe Christmas movies, although I don’t watch a lot of them either, i’m more on the I prefer Christmas songs the most, I just like music, but we’re talking movies so I won’t talk too much on music here.

If I had to pick, I would saaaay……..probably Christmas movies, only because I tend to come across them the most when Christmas comes around, however I do like a few Halloween themed movies, well just not the horror kind, you know the super scary ones. I’m talking Nightmare Before Christmas kind of movies………..you know what i’ll just list a few for you guys, if I had to pick Halloween themed movies i’d go for:

  1. The Nightmare Before Christmas
  2. Hocus Pocus
  3. Halloween Town
  4. Twitches (one and two)
  5. Corpse Bride
  6. Monster House

and I don’t know if this is considered a Halloween movie, but i’d also watch Coraline, even though the first time I watched it, I had a nightmare that same night……..okay it wasn’t a huge nightmare, I just dreamt of having buttons for eyes which is very creepy if you think about it……….like seriously imagine having buttons for eyes!? Yeah no thank you.

Back to the blog post though, I also found myself enjoying the 90’s scary kids show Are You Afraid Of The Dark!? which was surprising to me by the way, because I didn’t think I would. I also enjoyed the show Sleepy Hollow, not a 90’s kids show of course, I just loved the show, weeell at least season 1 & 2, there was 4, but season 3 I try to forget and 4 I didn’t watch, they ruined a good chemistry between two great actors that’s all i’m gonna say with that show, but yeah……….so those are just a few of my favorite Halloween movies and some tv shows as well.

I know I also talked about Christmas movies, i’ve watched a lot, but the one that I watch the most when it comes on is the Grinch That Stole Christmas. I could list more, but I wanted to keep things Halloween based, even though i’m not the biggest fan of Halloween, it only seems right to do it that way so yeah. When we get close to Christmas though i’ll make another list, but with just Christmas movies aaaand maybe some of my favorite Christmas songs who knows (I might)
